The Victoria Hotel

"This was our second stay here as loved the hotel & area before. This time we stayed for 3 nights. On our 2nd night we ate in the restaurant, unfortunately, when our starters were taken away, it seems the young lady forgot our drinks order & forgot to tell the kitchen we were waiting for our main course. After 20 minutes had to ask for our drinks again, then after 50 minutes, we had to ask again for our main course. We did get one of the meals free as an apology. Apart from this, the food was delicious & the Cavery on the 3rd night was Devine. The staff were friendly & helpful. Especially a lady called “Rosario” we feel she went above and beyond. At Breakfast there was a big choice of cooked food & a cold selection where you could help yourself. There is seating out the front & back which we made the most of & weather was lovely. Room was clean, and had all the usual complementary bits. Would definitely still stay here again."

"The property is very conveniently located within walkable distance from the train station as well as to the harbour. The bedroom, bathroom and the kitchen / utility area are quite new, tidy and clean. A lot of things are provided for everyday use such as fridge, microwave, cookware, washing machine, hairdryer, iron & ironing board. Host is friendly and replies quickly to messages. We had a very pleasant stay !"

"We had a 'cozy' room, meaning tiny, but it was nicely furnished with a TV and nice bathroom with a strong shower. The receptionist staff was friendly and helpful, pointing out the happy hour at the bar. 2 for 1 deal plus a cheese plate. The hotel is centrally located with parking behind ( parking in Canterbury is expensive). Very close to the town center and restaurants. Decent breakfast choices. The 14th century building successfully marries old and modern."
