"Lovely well appointed hotel with great views and lake access. The pool was so warm and the hotel had everything needed for luxurious stay. Thankyou to the welcoming staff, would definately recommend staying at Reef Resort."

"Stayed at Warakei Resort for 3 weekday nites and used it as a base for full day trips doing the Lake Taupo Loop and the Central Plateau Mts Loop. Perfect accomodation for a late winter solo traveller. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful. Grounds extensive and diverse.....7-8am swim in thermal lap pool was magic. Room spacious, everything worked, plenty of bathroom and coffee-tea making supplies. Room serviced daily whilst out exploring. A great place to come 'home to' after out all day. "Bonus to have a hot tub / spa allocated to most rooms.Easy walking distance to town and with the bar / restaurant and the Chinese takeaways not far up the road was a super bonus. Very friendly staff so wouldn’t hesitate to revisit "

An impressive range of choice for breakfast options, lovely pool, gym and steam/sauna rooms and an all round wonderful and memorable experience. We will definately be planning to return. "
