Days Inn by Wyndham Winona
8/10 Good
"The bed was amazingly comfortable!! Firm with a comfortable, cushy top. As I laid in bed with the lights on, I could see lots of little wispy dust strings hanging from the popcorn ceiling. The "back door" entrance to the hotel had zero security whatsoever. Anyone could get into the hotel at any time during the day. I was told the door was locked at 10 pm each night. I was going to verify that, but was sound asleep by 10. The bathroom sink is right inside the entry door! Literally, inches away. The bathroom space is too cramped. This is a design flaw. Nothing can be done about that now. The entire hotel could use a facelift. It is old and tired. We interacted with 2 different staff members that were very pleasant and kind. We stayed only one night (2 adults) and most of our time was spent away from the hotel. If I were staying 2 nights, this is not the hotel I would prefer."

"There was a very large (by the sound of his bark) dog just down the hall from us. He had been barking for some time before we called the front desk about it. We were told that it is a dog friendly hotel and nothing they could do and she was very short with us. It took about an hour and the poor dog stopped barking. We understand that people are there because someone they love is sick. We also know that pets are family. If it was my dog, I would have wanted to know. And she didn't need to make us feel bad...."

"I've stayed at this property three times, room was clean and comfortable. I slept well. The only negative things are that in suite units, the stove burner pans aren't the correct size so pots and pans sit at about 20-degrees while on the burner - otherwise kitchen is well-appointed with plates, silverware, knives, cups, pans, etc. except guests are required to bring their own cutting board. Dishwasher was fine and soap was provided with the room. The motel check-in system seems to be defective with room keys becoming deprogrammed for no apparent reason. The staff blames the guests for not taking proper care to prevent stray EMF from wiping the keys, but I spoke with another guest that had the same problem, so it seems the main problems lies with the computerized keying system. This is a problem when carrying luggage (luggage carts seem to be a scarce commodity) because the staff usually sends guests to the back of the building, so if you can't get in because the key no longer works, you have to walk completely around the building to the front desk, with luggage, before you can return to your allotted room. But the cost of the room is very reasonable, so there's a balance to be considered between expectations and complaints."

"The staff was extremely helpful. Rooms were clean . If you are a big eater, the continental breakfast isn't for you. The food is good but limited."

"Not at the location for very long, but everything was clean. Staff was good. The breakfast was good. We thought it was great. There was a television in the bathroom. Haha can’t believe how pricey hotel rooms are these days. It’s crazy how much you spend just to sleep."
Hotel Indigo Rochester – Mayo Clinic Area by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Everything was great. My only feedback is the black out curtains were an inch short from blocking light and the shower pressure was fine to get the job done but not excellent."
