"It is a quite unique hotel. If you do not expect the Hilton it is a real deal. It is quite old but clean and the staff is very kind. The breakfast was phenomenal! The entrance is a shocker and the rooms have a 70’s feel but everything is maintained just quite old. They are clearly doing their best with what they have and providing what is most important: good service, a very low price and there is nothing like home cooked delicious breakfast in your first night in Alaska. Plus you are able to walk to the Museum of the north!"

"This place was excellent. Our hosts hand-built this log cabin, and while it has so many great features, our favorite feature was the (completely) screened-in porch that allowed us to sit outside, and enjoy our morning coffee & evening wine without getting bit by mosquitos. I don't know of anywhere else in the Fairbanks area that provides a mosquito-free outdoor experience. Even the screen-room's tall wall was great because it blocked the setting sun from hitting our eyes.Also, our hosts were super-nice and very fast to respond to any messages. Everything was as described (no surprises), and even though it's near the road, we didn't hear any car noise when the doors and double-pained windows were closed. We wouldn't stay anywhere else when visiting the Fairbanks area."
