"It was a super cute motel with a great location. I do see what the other reviews are talking about as far as a need for a sheer curtain or something along those lines for the windows. The pull down shade works for total coverage, but it would be nice to be able to see outside without feeling like you are on display in the big windows. Otherwise, the rooms are nice and clean and I would definitely stay here again."

"Staff were warm and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. No problems accommodating my 40-lb dog. Well-maintained grounds around the hotel with grassy lawn and nice outdoor patio area. In-room kitchenette had dish ware and utensils, two-burner electric stove, full size fridge, and dishwasher. Room was spacious but could use a little more lighting and maybe a larger table. Morning breakfast was very convenient and offered decent selection of hot and cold foods and coffee. Wi-fi internet worked for the most part but could not connect all devices."

"We stayed here for a long weekend to be closer for a family member getting married in Newport. Overall we had a good time but I have to be honest and be critical of a few things. The property was not 5 minutes from the water…I walked to the nearest water access with my daughter and it’s approximately a half-mile walk from the property…the VRBO map location makes it look closer…it is not. I’d say 7-10mins if you’re a speedy walker…it is by no means a “beach house” if that’s what you’re looking for. It was mentioned in the house-guide that the water smells different because it is well-water. We have well water at home and it smells the way it does (STRONG sulfur smell) because the owners don’t have a softener/filter and if they do it’s not working properly. This is not the norm for homes with well water. We also had a neighbors dog randomly running around and following us on the property at times, we’re dog people so it was fine but this was just odd. The kitchen was fine (we mostly cook on trips) but the stove is super outdated and a little rough to cook on. That all being said; the property was great for a few nights and comfortable, we’d probably consider staying here again. Owner communication was great so no shade on them, just think there’s a few things they could do to improve the property rather than just trying to explain why their water smells awful."
