We had a great stay at this well equipped lovely apartment.
We had a great stay at this well equipped lovely apartment. Excellent location and very useful parking spot in the centre of the town. Only one personal negative was the beds mattress which I found to soft hence my score above.

Great accommodation.
Great accommodation. Warm, comfortable and clean. Stay was let down by the directions given to the flat. IE. No instructions about parking. Arrival instructions were incorrect so we initially ended up in the wrong building. (Trying to get into the wrong flat!)

Great, central location, with parking space - essential in Keswick! Comfortable and well equipped (although the bathroom extractor fan needs inspection) Superficially clean, but don't look too closely at some of the cooking equipment, or under the sofa or behind the radiators - perhaps this will be rectified at the end of the season or when covid goes away.

Stayed in the building many times, first time in Chaucers Nook, very good standard of furnishings and equipment, had a slight problem with the dishwasher - door doesn't open fully so makes loading and unloading difficult. Shower tray was also slow to empty - just needs the drainaway clearing.
Solid 8/10 would book again but probably a property with more natural light.

This is a well equipped apartment warm and cosy and has everything you could need. There are a couple of negatives but how you view them depends on what you want from a base. It is a lower ground apartment so it is a little dark, thought there is good lighting. As the living and kitchen area is combined if you want to cook the smoke alarm does kick in unless you have one on standby to “waft” , it wasn’t an issue for us but don’t know if it bothered the neighbours. It is in a good location for the town and the are lots of eateries close by, or takeaways if you prefer. It has a lovely bathroom and bedroom with a comfy bed and it has a private parking space which is a premium in this area. The apartment also had lots of walk books and maps so you could certainly plan your days. We’ve certainly had a lot worse.

Chaucer's Nook is excellently placed in Keswick to enable access to all of the local eateries and shops. Also being able to set off on various walks without using a car was handy! A clean and comfortable accommodation. Only point was it was a little bit dark in the flat, however if you're out most of the time, this isn't a major issue. We really enjoyed our holiday.

A lovely apartment on the edge of Keswick town centre so ideally located for eating and shopping.
A lovely apartment on the edge of Keswick town centre so ideally located for eating and shopping. Lots of great walks rom the doorstep too so no need to use the car at all during your stay.
The apartment itself is comfortable and cosy with almost everything you can think of that you would need.
The only negative is that being a basement apartment there are only a couple of windows to let in light but with no view, and making the weather a surprise on leaving each morning 😁. All in all though a lovely place to stay with plenty to do.
