"I primarily h add issues with the no elevator because I had yo take my luggage up three flight of stairs. I wish there was a phone yo communicate with the receptionists so I had yo go down every time I needed something. Other than that, it was clean and well kept with great breakfast options. "
"There were lots of issues in the hotel: the AC was not cooling, there was no internet, old bedsheets/towels, no phone, bread was served with a fly, etc. So we complained to the management, and they accommodated us in their other hotel, Cocoa Luxury, with a premium room and a complimentary extended stay for 4 hours. I feel this hotel needs a complete change. "
"It was not really the property's fault, I expected that there would be some in-house catering, but it was clearly advertised as "apartments". However, staff were very friendly and helpful in every way. I would stay there again, if I had independent transport arrangements."
"We checked in and we were put in a room with a very smelly bathroom. Also, the bedsheets had lipstick marks on them, which was very worrying about the facilities' hygiene. We requested a room changed and we were moved to a slightly better room but the AC in that room was not working. At that point, we couldn't be bothered to ask for another relocation. Fortunately, we had traveled with our own towels and beddings because at that point we couldn't trust any of their stuff."
"This was a disaster and we had to call hotels.com to get out of there. We did not sleep 1 night as this hotel.
AC was not working properly, we did initially not get towels and duvet was missing from the bed.
Generally very shabby and this hotel should not have 3.5 stars.. more like 1 star. "

"The stay was awesome, super safe with all restaurants and amenities within the same compound"
"Great vacation spot. Only thing I didn’t like they have a dress code policy during dinner time. In my opinion don’t tell guests on how to dress. They on vacation. Colonial rules in the 21st century, "
"Remarkable historic building with large rooms and spacious cool lounges, balconies and interior in Moroccan riad style. Staff were delightful (thank you Lilian for arranging so much our trip!), food delicious (thank you chef Bukari!) including breakfasts and dinners overlooking the beach and ocean. Amazing location with nice pool and in the right area for enjoying the ocean while exploring Mombasa.
Unfortunately, however, the owners have neglected the building has been very neglected with the lovely fountains without water, everything dusty, towels with holes, etc. Lack of cleanliness / clearing food causes flies in the dining area. It's a real shame because this is a gem of a place. The owners need to give it the love that their staff do."
