Old Laundry - a Sudeley Castle cottage that sleeps 12 guests in 6 bedrooms

"The Old Laundry was an ideal place to celebrate a family birthday. It is spacious and in beautiful surroundings. The bedrooms are lovely and great that each one has its own bathroom. We enjoyed dining in and also walking into Winchcombe for an evening meal. The hot tub was a popular place to relax after completing one of the circular walks. Visiting Sudeley Castle was also one of the highlights and it was great to have free entry."

"The cottage is set in a perfect location for visiting various parts of the cotswolds and Sudeley Castle was a great day out, and right on the doorstep. The cottage overall is impressive in stature and was very comfortable and well equipped. However, we were disappointed with the cobwebs on ceilings, behind all the radiators and in the fireplaces , basic dusting should really be a given. The bathrooms are tired and need a new lick of paint and the grouting in the en-suite definitely needs replacing as it is mouldy. That said, the beds were extremely comfortable, lots of storage and hangers provided and plenty of soft fluffy towels and toiletries were also provided. I just feel for a top end property the above-mentioned concerns should be addressed. Also, please provide cushions/seat pads for the outdoor chairs as there was only one. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and will definitely return as it really is a beautiful location and was lovely to observe the deer, pheasants, squirrels and birds in the garden. Whilst we appreciate it is a traditional cottage (the reason we booked it) I feel it needs a little tlc in the bathrooms and dusting department."

"We would visit again as the location is excellent. In general, very well equipped. However, the bath drained poorly and was badly marked. Lovely towels. The toilet was spotless but bathroom not vacuumed under the small white cupboard and behind the pedestal basin for a long time. Lovely curtains but poorly fitted to the rail which was partially separated from the ceiling in the living room."

"We loved Almesbury Farmhouse. 14 of us stayed in the house and annexe. It’s quirky and very spacious. The kitchen is very well stocked with a nice touch of goodies left. Great location. We enjoyed the steam train from Toddington to Broadway. The cafe at Toddington provided good refreshments. Loved Sudeley castle. Also Winchcombe itself is beautiful and gorgeous walks very close by. Nice BBQ in the garden. Every bed was comfortable so I’m told and the bedding was lovely. I would highly recommend a stay. The bathrooms are well appointed. All in all an excellent stay. Thank you."

"The house is outstanding and perfect for an extended family getaway. The photos on the website don’t do it justice. The layout and design are great and the place feels special. The views are outstanding. You feel like you are in the middle of the countryside but it’s a short walk to several nice Pubs/Restaurants/shops in the town. The Castle is a fascinating place with a great history and well worth a visit or two. I was in two minds about leaving this review as I don’t want to reduce its availability. We were unlucky to have a few days when the farmers were working in the surrounding fields which are very close which affected our privacy and threw up clouds of dirt leaving everything outside with a layer of cotswold dust. When we raised an issue getting out of the front gate on foot it was resolved very quickly. Thank you."

"Lovely well equipped cottage ideal for a family get together. (5 Adults and 4 teenagers) The snooker table was a great hit and was well used by everyone. Diane popped round on arrival and had plenty of ideas for days out and details of the local area. Had a great weekend."
