Top Cheltenham Racecourse Hotel Reviews

Holiday Inn Express Cheltenham by IHG

Holiday Inn Express Cheltenham by IHG

8/10 Good
"The hotel itself was modern, the rooms were clean and the staff were helpful, so there were definitely some positives to our stay. However, we were disappointed with the swimming pool arrangements. The pool is off site, and families could only use it between 9am and 12pm, which was very restrictive and not particularly useful for us. Breakfast was also a bit of a nightmare in terms of seating. There simply weren’t enough tables and chairs available, and we ended up having to eat our breakfast sitting on a couch. The breakfast itself was nice though, and we enjoyed the food. Overall, a clean and modern hotel with helpful staff, but the limited family swimming times and lack of breakfast seating really let the experience down."

Queens Hotel Cheltenham

Queens Hotel Cheltenham

8/10 Good
"We recently had a one night stay. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable. The bathroom didn't have a bath, just a walk in shower which was suitable for our needs. We had dinner and breakfast at the hotel which were both of good standard with pleasant, helpful staff. The only disappointing aspect of out stay was that the windows had the type of discreet glass in that you'd have in a bathroom, hence absolutely no view what so ever! If we were going to stay more than one night we would have requested a change of room especially having paid above our budget for an executive room."

Kingsmuir Hotel

Kingsmuir Hotel

"If you are looking for a charming and affordable place to stay, this is a great place! I am not super fussy about where I stay, so as long as it is clean and comfortable I am happy! This is in a nice quiet area of town, but close to all the bus stops that took me to where I wanted to go. It is a beautiful charming older house and the rooms were comfortable and my garden view was a great way to start and end the day! Martin was super helpful. You get a door code and a room code, so there is no full-time staff or amenities, but I wasn't travelling to England to spend time in the hotel. I would definately stay there again!"

"We had a lovely stay at No.131 in Cheltenham. The hotel is beautifully presented, stylish and very clean, with a great location that makes it easy to explore Cheltenham on foot. The staff were particularly friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay, and the service was excellent. Our room was comfortable and well maintained, and the whole hotel has a relaxed but elegant atmosphere. A very enjoyable stay overall and somewhere we would happily recommend and return to."

"First time staying in the Citrus Hotel Cheltenham. The family room we had was a surprise in that it was so huge. It even had self catering facilities in a cupboard including a sink, microwave and kitchen utensils! The room was dated and looked like we could have been in the 80’s, but it was very clean and quiet. The location is fantastic for walking into central Cheltenham, and the small car park beneath the hotel was an added bonus at £10 per night. We would definitely stay in the hotel again if we were to spend a day or two in Cheltenham."
