The Swans Nest Hotel

The Swans Nest Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is centrally located in close proximity fo Stratford's many attractions & resturants. Our only annoyance being on Saturday afternoon, when the room cleaner said she was unable to clean the room, because of "health & safety" - fortunately, we had no requirments at that time - but the peculier excuse seemed acrimoneous with her duties!"

"Check in was a wait but it was busy and the receptionist was nice. £13 a night for parking which I was not aware of. I booked a premium king room with lounge access. The room was an interjoining room and we had very noisy next door neighbours banging and shouting. Walls were very thin - didn’t feel very private. It wasn’t a king bed - it was beds pushed together. The pillowcase had a hole in it but the bed(s)/ bedding were comfy. The room wasn’t big - as it was my first stay I wondered whether it was actually a premium room - as the premiums were meant to be larger. The bathroom was ok. The toilet you had to flush a few times, the tap for the sink is fixed in a place that caused it to spill water and there was a stained bath mat in the bath. The mini fridge was gd with water. We also had biscuits tea coffee. I thought we were going to have a view but 3/4 of the curtains covered a wall and only 1/4 had a window which showed a bit of the river. I would’ve used the gym - didn’t know where it was - weren’t told and there was no information in the room. I also had to google breakfast times. We had lounge access. It was packed in the evening but a gd area. There were a gd selection of drinks & canapés - but they weren’t covered and there were several bluebottles on the food. I would recommend getting lids or covers. Breakfast was nice. A huge spread and everything we had was tasty. Staff were fab. It was ok! Pricey for what it was in my opinion."

"Good size room as for some reason we were given an accessibility room. Unfortunately while the wet room was no problem the sink was absolutely no use at all able or not! To small, to low and no plug. Although there were tea and coffee making facilities neither the kettle or the coffee maker would fitnder"

"The hotel was a 5/5. A positive experience all round. The cleanliness of the hotel was the best we have been to for a while. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool and gym facilities with the stay were free of charge which was amazing to use. The location is great to get to and from the city centre by car. There is a £7 charge for parking overnight. The room is spacious, fan available when hot. Tea and coffee and milk in room plenty for 2 nights. Bathroom was very clean and modern. Very clean and modern hotel over all."
