"The hotel is fairly easy to find (directly opposite the castle) and checking in was easy. The room was clean , a nice size with a shower/bath combo. There was something going on in the function room but the noise didn't travel and I had a nice quiet room and slept really well. Some minor cosmetic issues with the room but nothing big. Good value for it's location and I would definitely stay again."

"The property was perfect. Location was perfect too, right in the centre of the town. The rooms where large and there was a fridge in the room. Lovely bathroom. Couldn't fault anything within the hotel. There was only one problem and that was with the parking, there is a car park at the hotel but it was 40 pounds for our 1 night stay which I thought was expensive. I have a disabled badge so it would of been so handy to of used the car park, but instead I had to find a car park as few minutes walk away. I think 20 pounds would be an acceptable parking charge but 40 is just too steep a price to pay."

"The best thing about the stay were how friendly & helpful the staff were. The best staff I have ever met in a hotel. Everyone was so accommodating from reception, waiting staff & cleaners. The hotel owner is very lucky to have staff like this & they are a credit to the hotel. Breakfast was really good also. One piece of feedback but not important, maybe consider investing in a coffee machine as I missed my cappuccino!"

"We had a great stay however, there was supposed to be a dog wash but it was not turned on. We were on the second floor, the stairwells were not cleaned in the 2 days. Cups and rubbish left on window sills. Could not open the windows in the room. It was stifling hot. We had a fan ( no air con). The restaurant in the evenings, food was great however the staff didn’t know the answer to any of my questions. We were given 2 different menus. When we ordered it was off the old menu that was no longer available."

"The Woodland lodge was very comfortable, a very good size for the 4 of us. Really liked the seating outside under the veranda. We would definitely book this again."
