Cottage with Direct Water Access!
8/10 Good
"The cottage was really cute and comfortable. I wish we had better weather as the kayaks would have been wonderful to use, especially with direct access to the water. I would love to visit again!"
The Ipswich Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Our room was top floor (no elevator) and quite small, but clean, quiet, comfortable. Top floor is good for no one overhead!"
Modern 2BR Near Downtown Ipswich
10/10 Excellent
"I found Ahmad’s place the day of our trip and booked just hours before arriving, and it truly couldn’t have worked out better. Ahmad was super responsive and very accommodating, and communicated with us throughout. Check-in and check-out were a breeze. The apartment was awesome. Very clean, organized, well-stocked, and the perfect setup for our stay. It’s in a nice, quiet neighborhood, yet within minutes of everything in town, with the train station right at the end of the road and parking on premises. The location was perfect for us and very central to Salem, Rockport, Newburyport, and so many of the places we love to frequent in the area.We enjoyed it so much that I already tried to book again for a few weeks from now, but unfortunately he’s already booked! We’re really looking forward to staying here again in the future. Thanks so much, Ahmad!"
Spacious Lakefront Escape w/ 3 Baths + Bonus Bed
10/10 Excellent
"What a lovely lake house! We really enjoyed the house and setting. Everything was perfect and Anna was a great host. We will definitely return!"
Ipswich Riverfront Lodge • Sleeps 10 • Kayak+Canoe
10/10 Excellent
"First let me say that the host was fantastic. Rachel got back to me very quickly whenever I had a question. Now the house was one of the best places I have ever stayed at. The bedrooms were very comfortable and clean. Our group of friends were never so relaxed. They just absolutely loved it. I highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed. 10 out of 10. "
Great Space to be Together and Spread out
8/10 Good
"I rented this unit mostly due to the close proximity to my son’s house. We really were only in the apartment to have breakfast and sleep. I will say I knew it was an upstairs unit… but you can’t really appreciate how steep the steps are until your at the bottom looking up… my husband and I managed ok… but did have a couple close calls. If you have any mobility issues this apartment is not for you. The kitchen truly is fully stocked and the rooms are all very spacious. It definitely fit the bill for what we needed!"
The Essex of Gloucester
8/10 Good
"The house was very clean and comfortable. They could use a bench or chair in one of the guest rooms to put your suitcase on and also some table reading lamps next to the bed. Also sone ice cube trays for the freezer. Great location. Very easy to get to and check in was perfect."
Riverview charming apt near beach
8/10 Good
"Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The unit itself is great—very spacious with plenty of room for our family of five. The large eat-in kitchen was a big plus, and having two large bedrooms gave everyone plenty of space. The location is also excellent: tucked away just enough to feel off the beaten path, while still being only about two minutes from Main Street. When we arrived, it was clear the unit had not been cleaned after the previous guests. I messaged the host, and to his credit, he responded immediately and was there within minutes to take care of it. We really appreciated how quickly he addressed the issue. One thing future guests should know: be prepared for quite a few stairs! Aside from that, the space, location, and responsiveness of the host made for a good stay overall."
Winter deal! Delightful 3-4 bed one floor, 3 baths, fireplace
10/10 Excellent
"We get together with family friends annually and this place was a great setting all around. We made great use of the screened in porch, the outdoor spaces (kids loved playing baseball out back) and the large kitchen. The final bedrooms are through an unfinished basement then through a door and down some stairs - so fairly far away.. This downstairs area was good for some of the older kids. We also LOVED the piano and had some wonderful sing along memories made! We did miss a few amenities we usually associate with VRBOs - dish soap; some hand soap in several bathrooms; sufficient toilet paper for our stay (several bathrooms only had a half roll and there were no extras in the home); paper towels; cooking oil...with that said we brought a few of these to the host's attention and he was quickly responsive and willing to buy them and bring them out. We just opted to purchase our own but might be worth bringing these or clarifying before you show up if these are things you don't usually bring like us. Also - a location note - we'd hoped to put in kayaks and SUPs in the nearby marina or behind the house. There is definitely no access behind the house and the marina staff were not friendly to us when trying to launch our kayaks. Overall small things in the scheme of things though and we had such a wonderful time! Would return - great value & location!"
