"Overall the majority of the staff were welcoming. However there was an occasion we asked at breakfast time could we have a window table at dinner time. I said that it need not be every night but was told by the restaurant attendant that the system books the tables so they cannot assure my request. I asked to speak to the restaurant manager and after rolling her eyes she said ok. The restaurant manager came and said that the system books table booking on a first come first serve basis so that she cannot guarantee our req . This seems as though humans can’t use their analytical skills to look at what the ‘system’ is booking and adapt it accordingly. The five nights that we were there, only one night was busy where most tables were occupied!"

"The reception and restaurant staff all amazing and couldn’t do enough for you. A massive thank you to the electric mini bus driver, he helped us out at the hotel car park and drove us back from Salcombe, very polite and knowledgeable person. Facilities at the hotel amazing and right on the beach. Spa staff just as amazing as everyone who worked there. Food in the restaurant great quality and reasonable prices. Continental breakfast just perfect. Thank you for an awesome stay."

"The Globe Inn is a classic, old english pub. It is welcoming, as are the owner and the staff. The rooms are spotlessly clean, and have everything that you would need for a stay. It is also conveniently located for access to the coast, and local attractions such as Burgh Island and Salcombe."

"What an amazing place to stay. Everything about our visit here was perfect. We were made to feel so welcome and looked after. I cannot praise the staff there enough. Our room was fabulous, the dinner and breakfast excellent it was a really memorable experience can’t wait to go back."

"We had an amazing week at Scoble the views and interior design of the cottage are just stunning. The hosts went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible - it’s the ideal spot to access Southpool and the Millbrook arms too. The combination of the isolation and tranquillity and also the ability to access Salcombe via the ferry is perfect."

"This is a wonderful property which has extremely good facilities. Ideal for grown up children and partners plus a baby this time and still a comfortable bed for grandma. Having three en-suite rooms really helps with organisation, privacy and everyone feeling comfortable. So well equipped - very glad we chose to return. Waitrose delivery turned up on time as requested. Thank you"

"We loved our stay at 10 At The Beach and didn’t want to leave at the end of our vacation. Lovely views of the sea and lake from the lounge bay window. Good pub , farm shop and cafe very close by. Comfortable beds. Plenty of crockery, cutlery etc. I had a couple of negatives: it was very hot weather and you could do with a fan in each bedroom. The fridge is small and there is no cupboard space to store any provisions you may bring with you, internet isn’t great but better on the beach! I would definitely stay here again and would recommend."
