The hotel is one of the most relaxing we have been at. Immensely well run by attentive staff, and then adding that the food (especially the desserts) was way above expectations. This is highly recommended if looking for a very calm hotel and experience

We stayed for 7 days and the location was beautiful but we would recommend hiring a car to get around as most things are a short drive away … The Spa was great we used it everyday and treated this holiday as a relaxing getaway …

This was our second visit, we booked the same room type in the preferred area as the location is great and the rooms spacious. Last year we scored the hotel as excellent, this year we have dropped our score slightly. We still found the staff to be super friendly and efficient and the breakfast in the portofino restaurant is still great with plenty of choice. This year we travelled as a group of four, this was a struggle at breakfast as there are limited spaces for four and no chance of sitting outside. There were other groups of four at the hotel so we felt there should have been more seating options in portofino on the bright side of the room or outside for four. The staff keep the rooms clean, but we felt there were not enough of them to service the entire hotel, there was a long time slot, sometimes resulting in cleaning up to 14;00, while turn down service could range from 17:30 to 21:00. We opted for B&B, we did try the grill on our last evening but found it to be mediocre in comparison to the restaurants on the marina, cementing our decision to go B&B this time. We still really enjoyed our stay, this is still a fantastic hotel in a great location, and we would return again at some point in the future.

The hotel staff and building are excellent; the location is remote so be prepared to walk 15 minutes to the harbour if not staying half/full board. That remoteness is part of the charm of why people stay here. The hotel is well maintained and all the staff are very helpful and multi-lingual, and the evening entertainment is good. Remember that this is an adults only hotel so the entertainment is aimed at a certain age.

This is a special property! The location is spectacular and SO quiet at the very edge of Puerto Calera. The rooms are modern and immaculate and the staff is friendly and efficient. The activities are mostly self directed (no group ones) and there is lovely live music entertainment each night. Resto options are fewer than most other Secrets we’ve been too but the food was excellent—fresh, healthy and delicious. We were grateful for all inclusive as without a car, we’d have to walk or taxi to Calera for meals and shopping otherwise. The perfect peaceful escape on the island.
