"Charming hotel with decor that evokes a traditional China of the 1920’s, but with thoroughly updated facilities and amenities. The bathroom was very elegant and included a Western-style toilet with heated seats. The bed was very comfortable, and there was a lovely view of the river from the balcony. The hotel is just a short walk to the east gate of Zhanjiajie National Park, itis nicely situated in Wulingyuan with great restaurants and small shops nearby. However, the best part of this hotel...

"We had a wonderful stay at No. 5 Valley Lodge. The staffs were so helpful and friendly. Frankie was the best. He arranged everything for us from national park tickets, meals, transportation. Anything we ever needed. They were also available through wechat at all times if we had any questions. The hotel is far from downtown (if you want to go to other destinations) but very close to Zhangjiajie NP. Highly recommend this place and we would absolutely book again if we come back. "

"We had a great stay at their hotel. Both owners were very sweet and hospitable. Started from the wife picking us up at the airport. (Sorry I forgot her name)When we got to the hotel she immediately added us to her WeChat so we could communicate with her easily. "This is one of the better located hotels, and the price was very reasonable. The beds were too hard, but other than that it was perfect for what we needed. The manager was very helpful in recommending our visit to the park."
