Brownlow Street
Perfect property for exploring York. Added bonus of parking.
The property is comfy and clean. A real home from home. The kitchen has everything you need and the bathroom with separate shower and bath is perfect.
The stairs are quite steep, so may not be good for everyone.
Would definitely recommend this property.

A comfortable place
The house was within walking distance of the city centre, ideal as there was parking. A well fitted & comfortable property had everything we needed for a three night stay.
We had a very pleasant stay in the house.
The equipment is good, just everything you'd need. The location is perfect to reach the city center and excursion destinations around York.

Nice homely stay
Stay wss easy and good end to end . The team at yorkstays manages it well. they also allowed an early check in, great help to save our day. Overall all comfort and cleanliness is there in the house. Just that if they can also provide basic stuff like salt, pepper, oil,
ketchup etc in the kitchen to start, would be helpful , it won't cost them much but would go a long way.

Perfect location for our needs
We were visiting our son and his family for a birthday party and found this sweet house just an 8 minute walk from his home. It has everything you need for a home from home style stay, with the bonus of a very welcome outside patio on what turned out to be the hottest weekend of this year so far. The kitchen was well equipped, the TV easy to use and the beds were very comfortable with lovely crisp white linens. The towels were white and fluffy too. The one word of warning is that the stairs are vertiginous and probably unsuitable for very young children and older people. In all, we were very happy with the house.
A smart little house within short walking distance of all the city centre attractions. Well equipped and decorated tastefully throughout. We found it a little draughty in places but it was a particularly cold weekend! The only criticism was that the welcome pack was extremely basic and we felt it was well below the standard of the house itself.
We enjoyed our stay very much and would recommend this property.
We had a lovely stay for four days here. The apartment had enough space for us to spread out, and having an outdoor space and a washer/dryer was welcome. It got a bit hot one day where the bedrooms were; I would recommend a fan in each room and sun blocking curtains for warmer summer weather. The street was mostly quiet except for one night that got a bit rowdy (nothing too bad). We particularly appreciated the amenities, the books on York/Yorkshire, and the Agatha Christies! Thank you for an excellent introduction to York!

Loved York
With a few changes our stay would be fully delightful. Brilliant location. Car parking. Loved it but instruction need to be clearer
We eventually got hot water to the shower that didn’t go cold but even then it wasn’t hot hot. Lights anre on dimmer switches annd it took a call to Stayz for us to learn this so we could turn some lights on ant anll and others up. The stove exhaust fan didn’t work and the fire alarm went off 4 times. We couldn’t find a code to turn it off. Excellent that the home included a spa bath, dishwasher, dryer and washing machine but minimum use to us as only 2 dishwasher and one washing tablet for 2 weeks. Nothing for the spa and just 2 rolls of toilet paper for our 2 week stay. The dishwasher needs a service. The cleaner needs to get fluff from under the cupboards and to clean the fluff out of the drier. This is the first time we’ve been expected to carry cleaning / washing products. We had a number of conversations with Stayz while there so hopefully these matters will be sorted for the next guest

Lovely house, not overly clean
Firstly, I’d like to say what a great little house this is. The location is perfect and is only a 10-15 min walk to the city centre.
Secondly, when we arrived we noticed the key box had been left opened, the kitchen tap had been left on. The house appeared clean at first but on closer inspection we noticed a lot of dust in bedroom drawers, on top of the wardrobes, under the bed (my husband had put a shoe bag underneath the bed and when he retrieved it, it was covered in dust), in the front room and the kitchen cupboards were sticky. The three recycling bins were overflowing and the main rubbish bin was full. Olivia arranged for the main rubbish to be collected three days later. The cutlery draw in the kitchen was full of crumbs and I had to clean it out thoroughly. The water in the bathroom sink wasn’t emptying so I lifted the plug and it was full of soap scum and hair which again I had to clean. My husband noticed a drain smell in the house and bathroom. The cooker hood lights weren’t working and the hood was dusty.
If the issues of cleanliness are addressed, it would be a great place to stay.
The location was absolutely lovely, and the property was as described. My mother has some mobility issues, so just a heads up for anyone else with similar issues that the stairs are very steep and a bit slanted. Otherwise, totally lovely stay, and the stairs were fine for my father and me.
Very smartly presented. Tea/coffee & biscuits very welcome on arrival. Towels, tea towel, hand soaps and kitchen cleaners provided which isn't always the case, convenient & therefore easy to keep clean. Property is just an easy 15mins walk to heart of city centre. Great a parking permit is provided. Courtyard & garden furniture could have done with a sweep - but we didn't have time to use it, but lovely to have the outside space. Would stay again.

Perfect little place
We couldn't have asked for a better place for our short break. The house was clean, comfortable, homely with a little bit of history thrown in. It had all the things we needed for our stay and more. The little courtyard was the perfect place to unwind in the evening after busy days in the city. Just a short walk to the centre and a quiet location with free parking! We thoroughly enjoyed! Unfortunately neither the WiFi nor Netflix worked despite following the instructions given. The front bedroom could do with blinds for privacy as the curtains meant having to use lighting unnecessarily. Otherwise perfect!

Such a shame!
I booked a 3 night stay for me and my mum to explore York. Location of property very good. For 2 out of our 3 days we were inconvenienced by not having hot water or heating due to a problem with the boiler. A gas engineer was arranged but did not arrive until late afternoon to fix the problem, this left us with no shower facilities prior to us going out for our evening meal. We were disappointed that we had no courtesy call and no offer of a small token of compensation from Stay York. Such a shame.

Nice and cosy appartment close to the city
The house was very clean and confortable. With everything you need to spend a week exploring wonderful York and surrondings. It was apreciated they leave us two tablets for the dishwasher and also soap for the washing machine, enough for one week. They also have some guides and books about Yorkshire that I used to find places to visit, eat, etc. In general, a wonderful stay. Thank you very much. My only warning is the stairs, they are not long but they are very steep, not suitable for small kids or older people.

An excellent weekend stay
Property was well maintained, tastefully decorated and had everything you could need for a stay. The finished, crockery, glasses, bedding, pillows etc. were high quality. The location was great a short, level, 10 minute walk into town. The welcome pack was a nice touch and the supply of dishwasher tablets and cleaning cloths good thinking. On street parking just outside the property with a free pass was also appreciated.
