Welcome to our beautiful holiday home - the perfect place to explore York and it's surrounding areas.
The holiday home has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom (TV in the bath!), a stylish open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area and parking for 2 cars. Free Wi-Fi and smart tv including Netflix. We have furnished our home to the highest standard and added lots of extra touches in order to provide our guests with a place they will want to come back to again and again. We are sure you will feel perfectly at home here.
**Recently added** Fibre 150 broadband which is the fastest broadband package currently on the market. Perfect for if you're visiting and have multiple devices!
Situated in a quiet residential area just 8-10 minutes walk away (we have timed it!) from the historic city of York, the house could not be in a better location. From just round the corner of the house you can take a walk by the river Ouse, over Skeldergate bridge and you will be in the city in no time at all. The beauty of this location is that it offers you easy access to all of the city's attractions as well as having a quiet retreat to return to at the end of the day. Being slightly away from the city centre, there is no passing traffic near the house so we can guarantee you a good nights sleep during your stay so you can recharge your batteries for the following day!
Bishopthorpe Road is just at the top of the street - winner of "The Best British High Street 2015" award. On this charming street you will find pubs serving traditional ales, coffee shops, restaurants, bakers, grocery stores, deli's and takeaways as well as specialist shops.
If you are travelling as a family you will appreciate beautiful Rowntree Park which is only a 5 minute walk away. Here you will find plenty to keep the children entertained including 2 play areas, basketball courts, duck pond, skate park, tennis courts and the lovely Rowntree Park Reading Café.

It was perfect for exploring York and the Yorkshire moors. The location was convenient to the city sights, shopping, restaurants, and the train station. The rooms were bright and cheery, clean and well-appointed. I would definitely return.
Fantastic property well located for city centre parking space a bonus. We arrived by train only a 20 minute walk to property would definitely book again
The house is beautifully presented, immaculately clean and has a very welcome chilled bottle of wine waiting for the guests in the fridge ( along with 2 pints of milk which is always handy).
Being so close to the city centre and with free parking is a huge asset.
Very clean throughout. Spacious open plan kitchen/lounge/dining room. Extremely well equipped.
TV above bath a nice touch. Bedrooms perfect for us (2 adults, 2 kids aged 5 & 8). Two parking spaces just around the corner.
City centre only a 10 min walk. Rowntree park (good for kids) only 5 min walk. Location was very handy for city break.
Only negative was the shower head needs to be higher up, apart from that - fantastic all round :-)
As always our stay was amazing, despite the heat! The house was immaculate, this and the proximity to York centre and Bishy Rd bring us back here every year. And thank you for the fans, they were a life saver!
The location is superb. We could walk to all the sites. Less than 1/2 mile from the train station. The home was spotless and modern. We loved it. We plan to book this home again for next year.
We had a fantastic stay. The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. Two parking spaces was a luxury but we didn't need to drive as York was in easy walking distance. We can't wait to visit again.

Perfect location - lovely home
The house was perfectly located near all attractions and restaurants while still being in a quiet neighborhood. We loved walking up for coffee on 'Bishy' road before starting our day touring.
The house is beautifully appointed and very comfortable!
Property was re-furbished to a high standard. Had to contact owner and received immediate response. Location was ideal for city centre. Parking was a bonus.
