No 42 is a uniquely styled recently renovated character property oozing fun and sophistication. This perfect located home will blow you away with its artistic detail and luxury finishings, ensuring you have a fun and memorable stay. Enjoy off street parking ( EV plug in), large courtyard with festoon lighting and BBQ, sumptious dining room with fabulous artwork and 1960s cocktail bar, spacious family room and bedrooms with wrought iron beds and pillow top mattresses. 10 mins walk to centre and races.
The accommodation provides everything that you could want for you to create your own personal oasis of indulgent luxury, on the doorstep of the fabulous city of York.

Christmas in York

The only negative about our experience is that we could stay for only 3 days. The property was perfect - the location was near the train station, and within a moderate walk from most everything we wanted to do in York. Paul was an excellent host, anticipating virtually all of our needs and addressing them ahead of time. The home was clean, comfortable and lacked nothing.

Super home

This lovely house met all the needs of a group of 5. Great location within easy reach of the station and the city walls. Little supermarket within a short walk. Great mattreses and plenty of comforts within the house. Nice courtyard outdoor area, including a small covered area. The only downside was a little bit of traffic noise at the front of the house because the windows were open (it was over a hot weekend). Otherwise a very comfortable stay. I would recommend this accommodation for anyone wanting to visit York.

A pre-Christmas stay in York with our McRellies who know a good thing & have settled in England. Property is well placed for walking in to York but also handy for nearby bars, cinema & bistros. Decor & furniture in property is modern, in good condition & very pleasing. The ‘welcome pack’ was very welcome & our host did everything he could to accommodate our requests. We’ll be back when next we cross over the Pennines from God’s County of Lancashire. Thank you.

Walkable location

Location was great. Walking distance from the main line railway station and easy access to town centre. We walked everywhere and didn't need our car. There is plenty of parking space in front of the house for a car or large mpv. There is a small supermarket just a few minutes walk down the road as well as a selection of great restaurants nearby. The house was clean and well decorated. The kitchen was well equipped. Beds were very comfortable!We enjoyed our stay.

The best place we have stayed in York!

No. 42 is a stunningly renovated terrace house, with a convenient cafe next door. We were looking for a well equipped, three bedroom house and were definitely not disappointed! It will be out go-to option for future stays in York.
