Hi Ben, we received one voice mail from you on the morning you departed our cabin saying you were leaving, and this was the only communication we received from you during your stay. Because of that, our understanding was that everything associated with your stay was fine. Our housekeeper had been at the cabin earlier in the day to ensure that everything as it should be for your stay, including shoveling snow so you could park. If we had known you were coming after dark we would have asked our housekeeper to shovel the snow later in the day as it did snow the evening of your arrival. Having not heard from you during your stay we presumed that everything was in order. The fireplace is fine and is used regularly by our guests. We’d also like to note we regularly host elderly guests, the brief description you provided did not indicate any special conditions or concerns. Travel to Yosemite during the winter and early spring seasons can sometimes be challenging because of weather, but in many ways this can be a very rewarding time to visit the park.

Thanks for staying with us, Robert. As other guests have noted, we do have climate control in the house. We were unaware of any mice issues, but we will address this.

Hi Abi, I really wish you would have let us know about this immediately when we could have helped, rather than three weeks after your stay. This is the first we've heard about mice in the house, and we've had other guests stay there since your trip and not mentioned the cabin has been clean. We've also been at the house since your trip and the house has been clean. We will let our housekeepers know and ask them to pay special attention to the issues you raise. Thank you for your feedback. We have forwarded this review to our housekeeper and she has assured us that she's following the county's protocol for cleaning during Covid, but we have asked her to please step it up. The sofa bed is a new, high end one with a high end organic mattress. There is also a high end air mattress available. We are also looking into the fan issue because our housekeeper had recently brought new fans to the house, but thank you for alerting us to this so we can determine what happened and get some new ones if necessary.
