By far the nicest hotel I stayed in during my recent trip to Ireland and Scotland. I stayed at the beginning of my trip and again at the end. Two different rooms but both equally clean. Great bathrooms! Well lit. Good water pressure. Easy walk down O’Connell Street and over the river to get to Trinity College, the shops on Grafton Street, and the Temple Bar area. I opted to pay for breakfast each morning, which was a nice way to begin the day.

The room needed a little bit of TLC but otherwise was a very nice room, clean and tidy. The staff were very nice, polite and courteous and the breakfast was to die form. I ate so much breakfast I didn't need any lunch. If you asked a member of staff a question they would try their best to answer it and they were full of information of where to go in Dublin.

What can I say, if hotels were candy bars Travelodge would be the one in the plain wrapper. It may not be the Ritz but does not disappoint and comes with the best rates within cannon shot of the airport.
