Very basic and typical of Travelodge but much deteriorated between the pandemic and now the refugee crisis - saying that, for the price paid, no airport transport etc this is not good value for money - 'Rip-off Ireland' is alive and well despite all the government support, low VAT etc
I had stayed here a couple of days before and rated the hotel quite well - However this time the room was a shabby and smelly modified room for disabled people. Being disabled myself I initially thought it was quite good to put me on the ground floor this time. This room was awful - A very uncomfortable bed and shower that that was more like a leaky jet spray saw the bathroom flooded in the morning were about the worst of it all.
I reported the problem to the staff who just seemed very indifferent to the situation - Won't be going there again...
I stayed for one night, checked out very early and dealt with Elvis and Lorcan at reception. They were exceptional in the help that they provided as I had made a mistake with my original booking and they sorted everything out. I asked for a quiet room and that’s what I got. Some traffic noise but nothing significant. I stayed on a Sunday night.
