Sorrento Coast Kid friendly Holidays

PROS: The staff were amazingly helpful and friendly. Breakfast every morning had so many options and was great before going out for the day. We rented a scooter and parking was very convenient. Hotel shuttle every hour was convenient. CONS: AC has to be requested, which isn’t the worst, but very inconvenient when you get back to your room after walking A LOT. Rooms did not come with an iron, which was VERY inconvenient every single day having to go downstairs to iron before getting dressed in your room, it was surprising and annoying TBH. The last shuttle for pickup of the day was 7/7:30PM, which was inconvenient for days that we wanted to do later activities in the city.

The hotel is not in Sorrento, but they operate a shuttle bus hourly. If you’re looking for town centre location, this is not for you. The hotel is set high above Sorrento and from the public spaces, commands sensational views across the Gulf of Naples, and an amazing view over Sorrento itself and Vesuvius! It’s a hard view to beat! The hotel & rooms are spotlessly clean, the bar and terrace all have amazing views and the swimming pool is lovely, although was almost bath temperature whilst we were there so ideal. We had partial sea view rooms with balcony on 1st floor (224 and 222 which our daughters had). The rooms really need updating as look very dated and the balcony and partial sea view were just not worth the extra money. Also no coffee/tea making facilities which is always a negative for me. However, beds were very comfortable and the rooms have AC. Restaurant was very good, although we ate quite simply (ie pasta!) and the bar was great - hotel prices obviously. Breakfast was excellent. Same dining room as dinner and a lovely space to eat in. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and found the staff to be plentiful and universally excellent, in particular the receptionists. Note on travel: it’s worth taking a taxi or using the hotel airport transfer service. Public transport looks good on paper, but the trains are rammed. We did a trip to Pompeii by train and it was so crowded we got an uber back to the hotel. Costly but money well spent!

Very friendly helpful staff

We stayed in the Junior Suite, with balcony wrap around the building, giving us different moods and views for all times of day, whether having a drink and people watching the street heading up the hill or laying in the sun towards the hills and the villa across the small but deep gorge filled with lush green trees and bird song. The suite itself had everything and it's position in the building was ideal for access to restaurant for breakfast. It had the best buffet I've experienced - wide range of items with subtle changes every day and the hotel's own orange and lemon marmalade were unique and excellent. The layout created a perfect flow and the service was quietly attentive. Eating inside or outside was fabulous. The pool area was filled with lemon trees and always enough amenities. The small bar/restaurant again provided good choice (vegan) and excellent service. So helpful on the front desk and the bar downstairs was elegant and cool with quiet groups if chairs whether just two or 12. So close to everything, taxi rank in the middle or the leafy avenue out front and will go back again and stay soon

Optimal location + budget friendly hotel. Rooftop pool area is impeccable!! Service was amazing. This hotel looks better than the pictures you can find online!! Shout out to Marco & the staff.

One of the best luxury hotel in italy

Gorgeous waterfront views, cool docks for tanning and swimming. The tv in Our room had only a couple of English speaking channels and no internet tv. Additionally the thermostat was difficult to work and kept going back to the default temp- also very small awkward view of only the pool

The staff were very friendly, informative and helpful. The road in front of the hotel can be quite noisy when the door to the patio is open but not an issue when the door is closed with the air conditioning on. Would definitely stay again.
