The place is amazing. Lots to enjoy.

Pros: Staff was awesome. They genuinely seemed to enjoy their jobs and that showed up in how they provided services. When they said it was their pleasure to help, it felt like they truly meant it. Site is very pretty - lobby is gorgeous and grounds are well kept and lovely to look at. Having the water park nearby was definitely a plus. Cons: restaurants were small and food was not good (and took forever). Evening buffet was only highlight and even then it was only pretty good. We weren't expecting fine dining or anything, but have had better quality at other PC resorts. Pools were small and relatively full most of the day, compared to the sister RIU only steps away. After finding those other pools, we hung out there more than our own due to fewer people and being more spacious and deeper. The gym was super tiny and crowded and machines were old. Other RIU gym was also on the small side but more updated and had room to actually stretch post-workout. Wi-fi was problematic the whole stay - original logins didn’t work, had to continuously sign in, signals were weak in a lot of spots. Rooms are on the small side. Only two outlets in the room worked which made it hard to charge phones and watches for three people. A lot of things on the property looked “patched” and some things likely just need replacement (toilet seat, for example). Evening entertainment was pretty lame most nights. Would have liked more options than just what was on the stages outside the lobby.

Great property, clean grounds, and friendly staff. Lots of dining choices, however, very limited food options for (vegans, pescatarian, plant-based) guests.

I stayed at Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar for 6 days. The property is beautiful, and most staff were friendly and attentive. The buffet had good variety, and the entertainment especially the white party and pool games—was a highlight. However, the stay was disappointing overall. My room wasn’t ready at check-in, and when I got in, the sheets and towels were stained. It took three hours to get them replaced.The coffee machine in the room was not cleaned, once hot water was ran through, dark brown water came out on the first use. Throughout the stay, towels were often delivered dirty, and I even found roaches in the bathroom. I also found the bathroom layout inconvenient. It was open with no door to the shower area, which may not be ideal for those sharing a double room. Throughout the resort and the sister resorts I found most of the drinks (alcoholic and non alcoholic )overly sugary and not particularly enjoyable. Also the pool water was always hot. The beach was filled with mountains of seaweed with a foul odor. Resort transportation was slow, which was difficult for my elderly family members, as we waited up to 20 mins at times. While the resort has its strengths such as the entertainment and attentive buffet staff the ongoing problems with cleanliness, hygiene, and delayed service significantly impacted my experience. Because of these issues, I would not stay at Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar again and I would be hesitant to recommend it to others.

The wait staff was rude, they kept forgetting our food and although the restaurant was not packed, the eait times were looooong. Other than the restaurante, the service, staff, cleaning crew and bartenders were awesome. Would definitely recommend.

On of the best vacation stay we've had. Our butler Samuel Jackson was definitely "chef's kiss" top tier... He made our experience memorable!!!

This resort is top notch!! My daughter and I enjoyed every minute of our stay, and would recommend this resort to all! The staff was so caring and provided excellent service! Our room was very clean, and the food was wonderful!!

You get a private golf car to get around property since is very big, not a walkable place. Staff attention is amazing, you have endless restaurants options. Definitely a place to come back several times.

Food not too good, Bedrooms are amazing, great Wifi, good transportation.
