Lovely friendly clean hotel

Great choice for Gmunden. Really nice hotel, very helpful staff, super comfortable bed, rich breakfast buffet with many choices, very good location, simply superb place to stay. Would stay again.

Quiet, well-maintained hotel very close to S Bahn. I would stay again. Breakfast was very good. The fan provided in this very hot weather was quite noisy.

I had an extremely disappointing and exhausting experience with this booking. Due to flight and train delays, I arrived at the hotel in Linz at around 11:00pm. There was nobody at reception and I had not received any instructions explaining how to access my room after hours. I also called the hotel’s emergency number, but I was still unable to get into my room. I ended up spending the entire night sitting on the stairs outside the hotel. At around 5:30am, a member of the kitchen staff arrived and kindly let me inside. I was then given my room key and told that it had actually been left for me in a small box. The most frustrating part was discovering that my key had been there all night, but nobody had told me where it was or how to collect it. When I later spoke to reception, I was told that Hotels.com had not provided the hotel with my contact details, so the hotel had been unable to call or email me with the key collection instructions. I had a confirmed and paid booking, yet I was unable to access my accommodation for approximately six and a half hours and was left outside overnight. By the time I finally got into my room, I was exhausted and only had around three hours to sleep. Whether the communication failure was caused by the hotel, Hotels.com, or a combination of both, a paying guest should never be put in this situation. There needs to be a reliable system for communicating late check-in instructions, particularly when reception is unattended overnight. A very upset

Really good place with the renovations almost complete. While the lobby still needed new carpet the room renovation was excellent. Breakfast was very good.
