Very comfortable stay

Beautiful property in a great location.

The pros: location is perfect, facing a canal and next to charming Jordaan and nice restaurants. Also less than 20 min walk from the centraal station. Some restaurants like La Perla (pizza), de Benhalmel (nice upscale), Long Pura (Indonesian), Anne Frank House and boat rides are all a short walk from the hotel. Breakfast opens at 7 and there’s a server who takes the order and brings the food. Not a buffet. Keep this in mind if you have an early morning activity, train to catch etc. allow some time. Breakfast has a variety of items like eggs, crepes, cheese and pastries.

As beautiful as last time we stayed, totally recommend

Love the history and character of this hotel. The service is incomparable and the staff is amazing. Bedding was very comfortable. Jansz restaurant was wonderful as was the Pulitzer Bar. I do wish our room had better lighting but that’s a minor issue. Great location! We hadn’t intentionally planned to be there on King’s Day and it was a bit overwhelming. The staff was helpful in informing us on what to expect and made us feel very comfortable with available services when we wanted to take a break from the outside. Highly recommend the Pulitzer!

Honestly, the quality of the rooms is on a whole other level. The staff was wonderful. The restaurant, well simply amazing. It’s only con (which may be a pro to some people) is that you are literally on Dam Square. So it’s busy, very busy. Other than that, no notes!
