Tenerife Romantic Holidays

Food was very good, staff were friendly enough, pool area was clean, bar was ok. Rooms were a bit dated. Two single beds pushed together, not what we asked for! Cleaners were hard working as were the bar staff. Had to pay for the safe that was already in room which I have never had anywhere I have been before. This was after telling us that the Spa was not open for the whole week we were staying! This was one of the main reasons we picked this resort! We were then told we could use other hotels but would obviously be charged! We were never notified before we arrived, when asked via email if we could upgrade room, we were simply told they couldnt do anything as we booked via third party and to go to them! No help what so ever! Don't bother with sea view room, just black rocks! The local people were lovey and although we were there just to relax and chill out and have a nice few spa sessions! [Not] so didnt do much site seeing. But what we did see was lovely and wish we had a bit more time to see more. Would I go back to Tenerrife? Absolutely! This hotel! Nope! Tried to get compensation the hotel simply denied responsibility and said spa was open now!? Brilliant! Dont usually leave reviews like this, but people shouldn't have to have to go through the same!

Roca Nirvana is a great hotel. The rooms are among the finest we’ve stayed in for a family holiday, and the food and pools are fantastic. However, the entire experience is let down by overly rigid, finicky rules. Getting drinks is... annoying. You only get two keycards; one must stay in the room for power, leaving just one for a family. Since the bar strictly requires scanning a card to order you cannot simply grab a drink without thinking, where is my card? Someone else taken it to another pool? Forgot your card? back you go! Other policies are equally baffling. All-Inclusive guests must pay extra for the poolside à la carte, the ONLY place for AI to eat lunch is at the main restaurant. The kids' mini-disco is awkwardly timed at 6:00 PM when you want to shower and get ready for dinner. A large adults-only area unnecessarily cramps the buffet during peak family holidays with barely anyone in it. Some rules are baffling. I moved a chair to sit my wife and daughter during breakfast. I was told to sit somewhere else by the staff as the tables were two people only?! The pool doesn't open until 10 and closes at 6. However you cant get towels until that point. So you have a choice, carry 2 towels per person to and from your room, or wait until 10 to get fresh ones. If you stay at the pool until 6, no chance to swap back. The open hut should be open from 9.45 to 6.15 to make things easier. It is a lovely property, but full of small annoyances which irritate over a holiday.

L’hôtel se situe dans un endroit incroyablement beau, les chambres sont spacieuses et bien entretenues malgré quelques signes de vieillissement, Globalement le personnel est plutôt sympathique et serviable bien que parfois un peu rustre, ce qui peut s’expliquer par le grand nombre de résidents et les exigences de qualité de l’hôtel. un bémol l’absence de place de Parking à l’hôtel. Nous avons quand même réussi à trouver des places aux alentours gratuites. Peut-être que j’y retournerai hors saison, ça devrait être plus détendu

We would rate our stay at this hotel 4/5 stars overall. I want to preface this review by saying that some of the things I mention are definitely nitpicking, but that is largely because this is a five-star hotel. When you are paying for a five-star experience, you naturally expect the smaller details to be taken care of as well. None of the issues we experienced completely ruined our stay, and we genuinely enjoyed many things, but there were enough small disappointments that I think they are worth mentioning for anyone considering a stay here. We stayed in a standard “Melia Room,” which was nicely decorated and had a pleasant overall atmosphere. Unfortunately, the location of our room was one of the things that made the stay slightly less convenient. Our room was located at the far end of the hotel, and the other window overlooked the parking lot. Because the hotel is so large, getting from our room to the main areas of the property involved quite a bit of walking. The room itself was attractive and comfortable, but the bathroom was where we felt it needed a bit more attention to detail. The toilet was quite difficult to flush, which was inconvenient, and there was some mildew in the shower. We stayed on a half-board basis, which gave us the opportunity to experience some of the hotel's themed dinner nights. The Asian night left something to be desired, and the dishes were inconsistently clean. We also had one frustrating experience with the front desk regarding the shuttle.

Grounds and surrounding areas very well maintained. The rooms need a deep clean and the furnishings need some attention. Area rug old and frayed. Bottom of doors and walls look worn. Bathrooms need a deep clean.

Very clean room and attentive staff. Glass of Buck’s Fizz on entry and the service didn’t stop from there. Helpful with taxis. Lovely pool and never any sunbed wars. Highly recommend
