"Che Palazzo .."
What can you say about Majestic? It's perfectly located, its communal areas are jaw droppingly palatial, rooms are comfortable and luxurious, breakfast is excellent and complimentary and which can be rare for 5* in Europe. And all the staff are excellent, true 5* service. All thats missing is a pool.. ..and its not cheap, but why should it be?

"Wonderful stay"
Brilliant little hotel with nice friendly staff. Breakfast was terrific. Down a side road with a bit of graffiti (which you may have read elsewhere) but really don't let this put you off!! Walking distance to all the sights. Will no doubt use this hotel if I ever return to Bologna.

"Good for short stay"
Hotel is in a great location, close to everything. The staff is extremely helpful and accommodating (they even helped us navigate the streets with our car). Breakfast is included but it's very sparse compared to other hotels we stayed at in Italy. The rooms are small with modern decor. Some rooms are located between floors so you have to use the stairs. Overall, for the price, location and great staff, it's definitely a good find.

Pocket Guide: Bologna Historic Center Hotels

Famed for its medieval towers, Bologna's well-preserved historic center is where visitors can climb the Asinelli Tower for panoramic views of the city's red-tiled rooftops, including the Basilica of San Petronico on Piazza Maggiore. Extending from the piazza, over 40 km of porticos provide shelter for pedestrians. About a 10-minute stroll east, the venerable University of Bologna dates to 1088.
