Great reception on arrival from the manager. Lovely garden full of vegetables, fruit ,herbs, honey , eggs etc all used in their kitchens. Food was delicious. One local couple drive 90 minutes every week to dine here. Bedrooms very comfortable and peaceful. Not a sound or a car to be heard.
I found this hotel totally by chance. It was a lucky chance indeed. From the moment I arrived, the staff treated me with courtesy, respect -- and downright friendliness. They made sure I was properly situated, and they took care of my every need after that. All was done with a smile. The first room I had was the Stephens -- they name all of their rooms after Irish authors. The second one I had was the Lord Barrington. Both rooms were well appointed, having all the amenities that one might require. They lack a coffee maker? Just pick up the phone and the fronst desk will make sure you have a cup of coffee very quickly -- a fresh cup and probably accompanied by mince tarts or Madeleines. The Lord Barrington was a room to enjoy. Essentially a large sitting room, with a double bed, the Lord Barrington gave me a feeling of ease. That was surely helped along by a bathroom equipped with a stand-alone bath tub. Everything I wanted was there, and it was just a few steps from the center of Limerick. A-1 staff, too.
Just a minute walk from O'Connell St & Colbert Train Station, and close to lively bars and shops, No. 1 Pery Square Hotel & …More
Stayed two nights here and loved everything about the hotel. Staff were friendly and super helpful, and the hotel was convenient for exploring Limerick and travelling to the racetrack. Traveled for three weeks around Ireland. This was the best place we found. Highly recommend.
We had a very large room, which had a separate sitting area with a couch and desk. There was plenty of room for multiple people to sit and relax, which is rare for a hotel room! The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was good sized and very clean. The restaurant in the hotel was very, very good and reasonably priced! There was also a very nice Irish pub right in the hotel, but we did not go in there because we had an underage teenager with us.
