Woodfield House was conveniently located just outside the main Limerick city. The accommodations felt very clean and the outdoor dining area was absolutely lovely. We were able to do some grocery shopping at the store just down the street on our way out of town.
The staff seemed overworked with large crowds coming in to the restaurant to watch games and attend the event at the stadium across the street. Hotel guests during our stay seemed like an afterthought. The front desk staff person remarked on how busy they were and how that made it difficult to meet special requests. (We asked for an early check-in as we were just off the plane in Shannon at 5 a.m. that morning and jetlagged.).
Overall, the hotel has its strong points (very strong restaurant service), and we were grateful for a clean place to stay upon landing in Ireland.
