"Excellent stay at Turangi Leisure Lodge. "

"Stayed at Warakei Resort for 3 weekday nites and used it as a base for full day trips doing the Lake Taupo Loop and the Central Plateau Mts Loop. Perfect accomodation for a late winter solo traveller. Reception staff very welcoming and helpful. Grounds extensive and diverse.....7-8am swim in thermal lap pool was magic. Room spacious, everything worked, plenty of bathroom and coffee-tea making supplies. Room serviced daily whilst out exploring. A great place to come 'home to' after out all day. "Excellent location for visiting the caves. Cabins are well maintained as are the other facilities. Walkable to general store and up to the cave visitor centre. The gentleman on reception was exceptionally welcoming and helpful. "

"Nice place just around the corner from the Waitomo caves experience with the 100 meter absail...There were a fair number of steps up to our room but the room was nice and the water pressure was good. We kept warm on a July night and slept well. The breakfast was a fine continental breakfast and checkout was quick. We only stayed one night because of our schedule but could have easily enjoyed a couple more!"
