"It was a beautiful location. The cottages are well equipped. There was a bit of a musty smell. I think that could have been the carpets in the bedrooms and sitting area. Wooden floors would be more hygienic. Having the hotel so close was the effect for the leisure centre and bar! A great weekend all considered and I will be back!"

"I had a wonderful evening, the owner was a lovely lady who engaged me in great conversation an even drove me to the local town to purchase food as i had arrived quite late in the evening. The room was very spacious with a lovely little balcony that i chilled on while eating my food. The bed was very comfortable and i slept great all night, i was even impressed by the very generous selection of Teas, Hot Chocolates and coffee. "Nice cottage location next to the restaurant and bar. Within easy reach of the Marble Arch caves and stairway to heaven walk. Would have given a higher score but couple of observations to be aware of. The restaurant and bar is only open at the weekend. The cottage was clean and basic. We couldn’t use the downstairs bed as the mattress was so uncomfortable, you could feel the springs. Even though there were logs for a fire, you needed fire lighters and tinder to get the fire lit.
