"This is a top hotel! I don't quite understand the negative reviews left. It's at least a four-star hotel and is excellent with staff, reception, and restaurant services. There are always several receptionists on duty, along with several porters. The breakfast buffet is outstanding and serves many local dishes, along with the more traditional. The hotel has granite floors throughout and a wonderful panoramic view of Copacabana. I did upgrade my room once I got there and was so glad I did. ...

"The hotel is at a perfect location, in front of the beach. Gender staff were cordial and friendly, and willing to help in any way. The SPA was a great disappointment. I was schedule for a 2 hrs massage; and it finished at 1:15pm, with tea, and at 1:30 pm, an older female worker asked us to finished because they had to clean the room for their next appointment. "Being a three minute walk to the beach in one direction, and a two minute walk to stores, groceries, pharmacies, etc in the other direction was ideal. When on the beach, one has no idea of being close to anything else. Staff was particularly helpful, friendly and very kind. Staff and location were the big things. Of course it was clean. It is not a luxury hotel in the sense I think of luxury hotel...but it had all the amenities of a luxury hotel at normal-people rates."

"From the warm welcome by Fabrizio Reis to the complimentary late departure, the staff couldnt have been nicer. The breakfast was super, the lounge area with its view and beach towels to use, we certainly got our monies worth. We were surprised the rooms were very small, but we were comfortable. "The hotel is in an excellent position, right on Copacabana beach. It has a very old fashioned feel about it and could definitely do with a spruce up.
