"We got upgraded from a classic double to the Mary queen of Scots room. The room was facing the main road, but it was so quiet, that you wouldn't have known. The room was really clean. The food was really tasty and well presented. That was both dinner and breakfast. The staff was amazing. We didn't want to leave. "

"Really nice stay, furnishings were a little tired and worn but overall a really nice hotel. Did ask before our arrival for an additional bed in the room which the team advised they would sort, but was not there when we arrived, and due to the time we checked in, were advised this wouldn’t be possible so ended up sleeping on the sofa. Not ideal but still a nice stay"

"The hotel is very central helping to easily explore the lovely town which has a good assortment of shops and cafes - the rooms are spacious and have every convenience for a comfortable and enjoyable stay - the staff are friendly and helpful - we will definitely be returning "

"Lovely location and grounds, old country house, felt a bit like being in Downton Abbey! Some aspects of room a bit tired - cracked chipped tiles in bathroom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent, nice swimming pool and gym. Information about the hotel and a map in the room would have been helpful."

"It was the best place I’ve stayed at in Peterborough so far. Clean, nice, and central. Only criticisms are the shower door was broken/not attached properly ( I expect this was a previous resident and hasn’t been noticed yet) and that the double bed was 2 singles with a double sheet over it, so I kept waking up falling down the middle! But with that said, it was a decent place and I will likely return. "

"Had a lovely stay, staff friendly & helpful, waitress Helena is always friendly & helpful, this is our third visit here. The only issue is there appears to be quite a lot of people who park up to take their dogs for a walk, which when we got back middle of the day we had trouble parking."
