"The staff were so quick when checking us in and they added late checkout until 2pm as we were visiting my newborn niece on life support in the hospital. Breakfast was lovely, our room was beautifully clean with a fantastic shower and the bed was so comfortable I never wanted to leave it! "

"Excellent hotel in a fantastic location. Very friendly greeting from reception on arrival. Room was way better than I imagined with a view of the gardens.Nice large and comfy bed and decor was a high standard.Booked a superior room so got an entrance hall and dressing room. Grounds were stunning and enjoyed a walk before a nice evening meal. The hotel bar was in the great hall which was an amazing location. The only let down was the WiFi and phone reception.Probably due to the location and age of building. Would recommend to anyone wanting a luxury break away in the country."

If I’m honest.. the decor could do with an update (old carpets with stains in the walking areas and bedroom) - other than that little nugget, I have already booked back in for the same occasion next year! Would highly recommend "
