Fully met our requirements, to break our journey home from visiting family. In a quiet location, but close to the A1. We were made to feel very welcome. Very comfortable room, we were tired from our journey, slept soundly and awoke to a wonderful view of the golf course. Breakfast was very good and certainly set us up for our day and journey home. Would certainly stay here again in the future.

The woman who runs the place is very helpful and with a no fuss attitude makes you feel like part of the pub community. She worried like a mother hen over whether I would get a taxi back to the train as the weather was inclement during my trip. Finally, the breakfast is outstanding—absolutely delicious.
