"We are beyond thankful for the staff to allow us to check in early, but our room and the property as a whole were not that clean. Our pillows look like they had been on the floor. They had dirt, and possibly body hair, on them. The walls and doors were dirty from hand prints, liquid splatters, and dust. Top decorative Shaw on the bed were not clean and both beds had stained bed sheets. Not in the most pleasant area. Nothing happened but gave the vibe that anything shady could happen. Wasn’t the worst, but far from the best. "

"This house is just the cutest! Easy location for access to downtown Birmingham. We were downtown each day in about 10 minutes. There’s some houses around that were loud and some barking dogs so just be aware if you need quite to sleep. Great lake behind the property for fishing and feeding ducks. We had a great time overall and would definitely come back. It had everything we needed. "

"We didn't stay! The building was in ill repair. It's OLD and looked really bad. I had NO desire to look at the room. As far as safety goes the lobby is kept locked. We had to go into a door that had a window with a small opening to speak to desk clerk. We forfeited our money we paid to stay the night. My life was worth more than what we paid and lost. Wish someone had been honest and told us how bad it was before we booked. "

"Very loud and uncomfortably busy late night “stuff” going on in the neighborhood. Dogs barking and motion lights on/off throughout the night. Only lock for door was the code lock which is apparently known by surrounding neighbors. Fortunately, the neighbors on the kitchen end of the house were helpful and friendly. Did not sleep at all. We had reserved it for two nights, got there after dark, left at 7 in the morning and did not return. "
