This is not a hotel. It’s a noisy pub with rooms. Bed very hard and not comfortable. Breakfast offering is poor so went elsewhere for breakfast. Doors slamming up to 11pm - could not get to sleep before then.

Aber Night
Overall a clean, spacious top floor room and bathroom with view of sea. Staff really friendly. Would stay again. Pillows thin and single bed of twin rather creaky. Bottled water not available as complementary item. Still slept well. Location very close to seafront/harbour and pretty quiet.

The rooms which are comfortable and well appointed are above a popular public house. My only criticism is that we were woken up on two occasions during the night by noisy residents which spoilt our stay.

Fun little vacay
Enjoyed the trip, only stayed a night, staff were lovely and happy to help us. We checked in early and when we checked out they were happy to hold our bags while we checked out the town and the beach, woukd go there again

Perfect location to stroll along the prom. Close to restaurants. Parking is on the street so a certain amount of luck to get parked close by.

The staff at The Castle were really friendly and helpful, easy check in, modern, clean and contemporary rooms with extra surprises we didn’t expect including dressing gowns and large rain shower. Will definitely stay again, Janene

The customer service was second to none. As soon as we arrived at the Castle, the barman appeared with quiet professionalism at our side and showed us our room. He was so polite and on top of his job, we were very impressed. The room was very well decorated and quiet. Would definitely stay again.

Superior room with sea view
Stayed in Superior room with sea view which was excellent. No issue with checking in via bar, staff friendly and good location with free on road parking nearby. Went out for breakfast as not keen on continental which was only option.

It was a lovely enjoyable experience in Castle Hotel. It is a one minute walk to sea an beach and amazing view of Aberystwyth castles and near town centre We had an amazing stay Will do it again but in first floor room if possible

The staff at the hotel are mega friendly. We were surprised that the hotel is above a pub and check-in was at the bar. The room, a superior room for 205 GBP, was clean and quite small. There was a strong smell of cleaning products. I could hardly sleep a wink because of the guests outside the pub and the traffic noise. Breakfast was served to us on a tray in the room. This was also very surprising. You could make your own instant coffee in the room. Again, very friendly. But all in all: this hotel is not worth 200 pounds per night. We stayed in a different hotel almost every night on our trip and had nice, well equipped and quiet rooms. The Castle Hotel is not worth a trip and the pictures on the homepage as well as the description do not fit this shed. Very sad. Luckily we were only there for one night.

We had a great stay here. Our room faced the water and was huge. Loved sitting in the window seat. It was an easy walk to the seaside promenade. The staff person who checked us in (Hazel) was very helpful and kind.

No lifts and sea view if you stand on the sofa
Didnt get to stay as no lift and very steep stairs to the top floor . My fault for not checking Girl on duty was lovely and did offer to move to the next floow down But had left to travel home . no refund offered Had booked a room with a sea view . Only if you stood on the sofa and was at a distance Check the room and is a bar with rooms rather than a hotel No parking Probably ideal for a base for a night out

Room & en suite ok. It was not on the seafront. Not a serviced hotel, rather a corner pub without restaurant or facilities. At £165per room it did not seem good value.

The location is good, close to the promenade and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, beach, and limited attractions. Check in and access to the room was a bit difficult, but mainly due to COVID restrictions. The room was clean but quite small and bed was not the most comfortable. No curtains but a Venetian blind which was not so efficient in blocking out the early morning light. The most disappointing thing was that no food was being served at all. So after an almost 6 hour journey to reach there we had to go out for a meal. Also no breakfast being served so we had to walk into town for breakfast. We probably would look for an alternative place to stay if we ever came back to Aberystwyth.

Nice base location for a weekend stay in Aberystwyth. No on-site parking but can park outside on street if free spots available, on sea front or paid car park £4.10 for 24hours, which are all within 3 mins walk. It is above a pub yes but I didn’t hear a sound from downstairs, only noise was heard was people walking past outside which is not to do with the hotel. All you need in the room, seems recently refurbished so in a good condition. Covid safe also.
