"The room had a slight mildew smell but the staff was very helpful and used a de-odorizer of some sort which mostly eliminated the smell. Mostly we enjoyed our stay and the staff was helpful. I found the pizza mediocre but my traveling companion enjoyed her fish. No breakfast to speak of. But the surroundings were beautiful."

"Hotel Saranac is perfectly located for a weekend in the Adirondacks, in the heart of Saranac Lake for easy walking to restaurants, a short bike ride to the Rail Trail, and a reasonable drive to great hiking and outdoor opportunities. It’s a great historic hotel with lots of character and an amazing bar and lounge area, with great views of town and the mountains. Parking is plentiful and free. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. It is accessible and user friendly for guests that have mobility challenges."

"Saranac is almost a 2nd home to us. The town and people are great. The same goes for the accommodation. The location is steps away from the main street and local attractions. The rooms are a good size and a restful place to hang out after a busy day. Also, the simple additional touches in the kitchen with food plastic bags, tin foil and condiments make life just a bit easier when you are away. Thanks for a great stay."

"Mary and Kevin are great hosts. The space is exactly as described, a small, attractive room with a comfortable bed, kitchenware, coffee, tea, honey, etc. There's a small deck with a table for dining. The house is within walking distance of town, which you can get to by taking the Rail Trail directly behind the house. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously during our stay."
