"The place is great, nothing really is close but the rooms have a kitchen so you can take your one food to cook which is awesome! The place is stocked up with things to use and everything was very clean. We had a great stay!!"
"The rooms are being renovated and mine was clean and like new. I think more room improvements are coming as I'd describe it as 'spartan'. I only needed a nice clean bed and great shower after a day of hiking and biking and this was just fine. "

Saranac Lake is adorable and well-kept. We enjoyed walking around the oldtime sidewalks and the rail trail. The town has older buildings and reminded me of the 1960s, in a good way: quiet but pretty. Easy to park. We ate out twice and enjoyed both.

You can go in winter, but you'd probably have a better time during any other season than winter. It's really cold out! The area is walkable, but you won't want to during the really cold months.

Nice quaint little town. Summer, lots to do such as hiking and kayaking. Winter - ski areas in close proximity, but you do have to drive to the area.

The area is very touristy, although more people were at Lake Placid eight miles away. Beautiful old cottages on the lake.

"The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. It looks like they're still working on the property exterior so it's not overly impressive so don't be put off. We would stay there again."
"This was a fun place to stay. Kind of quirky, certainly unique. Clean and spacious and with a Scandinavian vibe.
Could have used an extra hook or two for towels and the sink was a challenge as water tended to splash over onto the floor. Free use of bikes and an outdoor sauna added to the special atmosphere. They also offer a couple of glamping options. Cool.
We tried the breakfast basket option one morning. Sharp idea. We would stay here again, without question. "
"Room had fridge, tv and very comfortable bed. Bathrooms were very clean.Caretaker on site if you need him.Free coffee was nice. Such a beautiful facility and qalking distance from town and major hike. Loved it, cant wait to return. "
