"Very friendly host who responded quickly to my questions and generously offer his canoe for our use; the weather was a bit spotty showers so my 39 yo son only took his kids out in the canoe once.The house is incredibly well stocked for cooking and grilling, plenty of towels etc and lots of games for rainy periods. The Only negative is the steep driveway which the host noted in description. I hate backing downhill which could have been avoided if we planned for a better orientation of our 3 cars."

"At the price point, we expected a more well equipped kitchen. I bought a set of bowls at Marshalls (!) for mixing pancake batter, etc. The knives were frankly terrible. However, this did not dampen our stay. The location was superb and the swimming excellent. I wish the canoe had been closer to the dock as one grandma I could not haul down to the water without worrying about damage. One more item that might be noted is the principal bedroom bed being on an elevated platform. It did not deter us however it could be a liability to anyone with balance or night vision issues. Thanks so much and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay."
Lakeside Home with Mountain Views

"The property is centrally located and within walking distance to the wine store, Aldis, Dollar General and the famous ice cream stand "Mountain Mist." It is directly on the water with a flat backyard for ease of access for the elderly. We were able to rent a boat and had it delivered for the week and there are a several kayaks to use at the house too. No ceiling fans, but multiple very functional rotating fans if you are staying in the summer. The kitchen set up is great, and there are four separate private bedrooms - 3 upstairs and 1 downstairs. There are also 2 bathrooms - one upstairs and one downstairs. There is only 1 tv in the central upstairs living room, so if you have a tribe who can't agree on the movie that is the only downside. We have stayed here before and the host is always great about communicating with you."

"Our family spent a wonderful week at this incredible home on Upper Saranac Lake in July, and it exceeded all of our expectations. The timber-frame construction is absolutely stunning—the exposed woodwork throughout the home gives it so much character and creates a warm, inviting atmosphere. The floor-to-ceiling windows showcase breathtaking views of the lake from nearly every room, making it easy to appreciate the beauty of the Adirondacks no matter the time of day.One of our favorite features was the boathouse with its rooftop deck. We spent countless hours there relaxing, reading, enjoying morning coffee, and watching the sunsets over the lake. It quickly became our favorite gathering spot and offered some of the best views of the property.The location was perfect as well. It was peaceful and secluded while still being an easy drive to both Lake Placid and Saranac Lake, making it convenient to explore the area whenever we wanted. We also loved the cool mountain weather—it was the perfect escape from the summer heat.If you're looking for a beautiful Adirondack getaway with spectacular lake views, unique architecture, and a memorable place to relax with family, this home is hard to beat. We made wonderful memories here and would happily return."

"We had an amazing stay at Camp Saranac-from our arrival to our last day everything was just wonderful. The property is amazing and extremely well appointed . The lake frontage was beautiful and the dock and patio were favorite gatherings spots. We were close to all we wanted to do from hiking to biking to browsing in Saranac Lake and Lake Placid. Highly recommend!! We will be back!!!"
