"Great location. Easy to walk the village without fighting for parking. The cottage on Mirror Lake is easy to walk to and is good food. Front desk helpful when parking lot full . They have an alternative lot they tell you in person how to use when the situation arises. Just park and go in to front desk, tell them the situation and they give you the solution. Don’t park on the street, you’ll get towed. Great service."

"PROS: Convenient location. Spacious room and bathroom room. Comfortable bed. Welcoming lobby and nice continental breakfast selection. Reasonable price. With a few exceptions (noted below) the property seemed clean and maintained. CONS: Checkin and checkout cumbersome especially with the poor cellular and wifi service in the location. Poor wifi at facility. Bathroom tile had too much mold. The mold indicated to me rushed housekeeping. The A/C vents and filter had layers of dust and dirt, again spotty housekeeping. Lastly, some of the furnishing appeared very dated and worn. These things said, I would come back and stay again."

"Our stay in the resort's Waterfront collection was great! The Junior suite was literally on the water with beautiful views. It's a large room with gas fireplace, jetted tub, separate shower, dual sinks and a comfortable king bed. Nearby Black Bear restaurant on Main St. was a favorite, with only a two minute walk for great food. We didn't have the chance to use their kayaks or paddleboats, but did take advantage of the hot tub and indoor pool in the Lake House for post-hikes recovery. This was the one area clearly in need of renovation. Overall, the High Peaks Resort's Waterfront collection is now one of our top choices to stay in Lake Placid."
