"Hotel Saranac is perfectly located for a weekend in the Adirondacks, in the heart of Saranac Lake for easy walking to restaurants, a short bike ride to the Rail Trail, and a reasonable drive to great hiking and outdoor opportunities. It’s a great historic hotel with lots of character and an amazing bar and lounge area, with great views of town and the mountains. Parking is plentiful and free. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. It is accessible and user friendly for guests that have mobility challenges."

"OK, look, it's not new. Nothing there is pristine, like at the Hilton I stayed at in the week before I stayed at the Ashley. However, my room was clean, the towels were plentiful, the bed was comfortable. There is a welcoming, neighborly feel about the whole property. I would definately book another stay. Indeed, I probably will do so soon."

"We visited in August and found the space comfortable with the help of 2 AC units. The unit was clean and comfortably decorated. The living room furniture was comfy and well kept. We were able to host our adult son and his partner for dinner both nights; they were in walking distance of us. The kitchen was well supplied and neat. We intend to return to this location as it’s convenient to everything we want to do!"

"Our family enjoyed staying here. It suit it needs for this trip and was clean and comfortable. The primary bathroom appeared newly renovated. The host was very accessible. Parking with our truck was fine but would've been difficult if the house was full."
