"Amazing/outstanding holiday destination, amenities, welcome, location, cleanliness, etc. The service is what makes this hotel so special, and this goes much further than the amenities which are outstanding. The only two small minor drawbacks for us have been 1) to get charged to have coffee in the room which low key B&B do not do, 2) our toilet flushing system dripped throughout our stay despite asking for it to be fixed, which is a small annoyance when one cannot sleep at night. What an incredible place, team and culture!"

"Couldn’t recommend Astoria Playa more, we loved our stay and are very sad to be back home. The staff were friendly and helpful, the breakfast buffet was amazing with lots of choice, and our room was modern and comfortable. One thing I would say, our deluxe pool view was quite underwhelming. It didn’t directly overlook the pool due to the walkway & garden & parasols and was always in the shade. But was still nice to relax on the Bali bed and could hear the DJ when the weather was nice. "

"Lovely hotel, great food, restaurant staff are amazing. Only one problem is the air conditioning, ours didn’t work at all. They did provide us with fans as soon as we told them and offered us another room, but with the heat in the mid 30’s it wouldn’t have got it below 25 degrees anyway so we opted to stay in our room. We arrived late at night and the night porter didn’t mention anything about food being left for us in the restaurant if we were hungry, with coffee and cold drinks, however the restaurant manager did inform us about the early breakfast which we did have when we left early for home. "

"Overcrowded. Tired,dirty hotel. Dirty,tired rooms. Dirty dining hall with filthy plates and cuttlery. Dirty swimming pool. "

"We had a wonderful stay at this resort. For some reason we were upgraded to a three bedroom house and it was absolutely perfect for our family with two small children. The air conditioning was very effective and the house very clean and comfortable. The pools were beautiful and Warmed up very nicely in the afternoon (They were a little cold in the morning). There was an Elvis tribute act playing poolside one afternoon and this was absolutely brilliant. The location is a bit problematic and taxis are flaky so I would recommend hiring a car particularly for buying groceries. It’s best to treat this as a self catering holiday as the restaurant opening hours can be a bit hit and miss with them only serving food for breakfast between 8:30 and 10:30 and dinner between 7-9. This is not so convenient for children. Overall though this was a lovely stay and self catering accommodation within resorts is hard to find so I do recommend this. "
