The town is famous for its annual music festival in June, founded by Benjamin Britten and held at Snape Maltings concert hall, but has many other attractions with lovely Georgian buildings, interesting shops, fresh fish sold from colourful huts on the beach, and boating on the Alde estuary nearby.

Great location and comfortable cottage
Pilots House is in a great location right in the middle of Aldeburgh and a few metres from the beach. The cottage is clean, comfortable, and well presented. We really appreciated the welcome pack that had been left for us with tea and coffee and dishwasher tablets etc. would definitely recommend for a family of 4 wanting to stay in the heart of Aldeburgh. We will definitely book again!
