Everything about the hotel was excellent but especially the staff. Wish I could give them 6 or more stars. However, this is not a hotel for a fun holiday; it is quiet, peaceful, with many comfortable spaces to read, take tea or coffee and relax.

The only thing I could fault were the veggie sausages which were a frozen abomination - get some decent fresh ones and I would have said our stay was faultless. The staff in particular were lovely and the power shower was fantastic !

Apart from the hotel not having a lift for residents, it was splendid in all other respects and seemed to be a happy place. Staff were pleasant and helpful.

Our room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were very helpful. Fine location for walking into town or enjoying the North Sea frontage location. Cozy bar. Numerous comfortable lounges for relaxation. Excellent breakfasts and good dinners. Classic ambience.

Great stay at The Wentworth Hotel
Lovely room…big windows out to the sea on the top floor. Clean, spacious, freshly decorated with a small but perfectly formed en-suite. Comfy large bed with crisp linens. Breakfast was gorgeous…everything was freshly prepared and of high quality….fresh fruit salad was yummy! Freshly made pancakes with maple syrup and crispy bacon was fabulous.

Aldeburgh last minute stay
The receptionist asked for payment even though I’d pre-payed. I hadn’t got my phone to check at the time so paid again. She did realise her error and it was refunded but I was disappointed that this happened. Breakfast was tasteless. In the positive side the staff were friendly and the hotel was very clean and well presented.

Great location, beautiful hotel
Fantastic hotel. We had a lovely romantic break, enjoying the hotel and its great location. There are lots of lovely lounges and quiet places to sit and read or enjoy a drink, or enjoy the view from the terrace. The staff were friendly and very helpful and the breakfast was superb. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, overall a very good introduction to the Wentworth with just one disappointment which concerned the repeat menu for the evening meal during our three night stay.

Glad you enjoyed your stay. We run a cycle of three menus which changes daily. On a 3 night stay the menu would have changed daily, except for the vegan and vegetarian options.

A hotel for grown ups
As always, and in spite of Covid, a totally comfortable stay. Room perfect with sea view (and sunrise). Food first class. Service and cleanliness perfect. Public rooms carefully furnished with lots of space. And Aldeburgh remains a unique seaside town, unspoilt and full of interest. Even the weather was kind.

The best thing about this hotel is the many cosy seating areas around the hotel. The restaurant staff were particularly helpful and efficient. Reception staff not to the same degree. The only thing that let it down was the tiny bathroom but only to be expected in an old building that’s been renovated over the years.

It may appear old fashioned, but that includes old fashioned high standards of service and comfort. The modern en suites, while small, include the best hotel shower I’ve experienced and are beautifully equipped. The beds are superb. The breakfasts are of the highest quality.

Very nice place to stay with bathroom remodeled. The building itself is a little creepy (old) but the service is very good. Excellent food, but our server was slow ( I see other got their food before us) maybe they placed us in the corner in a nearly half filled restaurant.

Lovely hotel in Aldeburgh perfectly located - rooms nice and fresh with excellent new bathrooms. The overall hotel very classy but the staff could be a little more welcoming and more attentive on service - for example sat in the guest area for around a hour and didn't get asked if we'd like a drink even though they were delivering to others.
