Convenient location, good basic budget option.
Stayed here as a couple but this place would also be great for a solo backpacker. I’d describe it as being more like a private room in a hostel rather than a traditional guesthouse with host on site. The location is right by the centre of Faro, the shopping streets are only a couple of minutes walk away. The Guesthouse has a lovely roof terrace and upper room where you can sits and eat your food, and there is a kitchen with a microwave, kettle, toaster, etc where you can prepare something. I did find that it was a bit noisy outside on the street, as you are right by the bars, so you might want to bring some earplugs. The room was fine, shared bathrooms but it was right next to the room. For a budget trip this Guesthouse was a good choice if you aren’t looking for anything too fancy.

Perfect location
I always seem to easily impressed but yet again I am. Last week I was in £200 per night London hotel....this guest house trumps it in every way. Check in was easy via email, location can't be better. Shared bathroom was spotlessly clean and should not put people off. Faro is fabulous for a short break, loved it.

Silvia was an absolutely fantastic host. The communication before and during the trip was outstanding! Our room was ample in size for us both and extremely clean, we did not have our own bathroom, but the shared ones were also extremely clean, with plenty of toilet rolls and soap. The property supplies you with towels towels provided were extremely soft like those in 5* hotels! The roof top terrace was a lovely addition. We sat and enjoyed many coffees up their. The stairs are narrow with them being spiral to climb but nothing too worrying my companion which a bad leg managed them quite fine. The kitchen facilities are fantastic, although i only used the kettle and two mugs. The other guests really do appreciate where they are staying, there were never any pots or mess in the kitchen. Now the location for us was amazing very central and close to nightlife. however, where our room was we couldn't hear any of the music, which was excellent the room had two sets of windows and shutters so it guarded the noise. When i say two lots of windows, there was a sliding door porch, large enough for one to sit, then shutters and windows. We only stayed for two nights but we most definitely will be back. Just to add this was a last minute booking were we had never stepped foot in portugal before it was fabulous definitely will be back to portugal and definitely use this accommodation again! Great little guest house
Excellent value for money right in the middle of Faro. Self check-in was super easy and although it is a lively bar area it felt very safe and the windows kept the noise down brilliantly. The roof terrace is a lovey little spot for a morning coffee or a nightcap :)

Overall the property was great. The people in the restaurant next door were fantastic and super helpful. Getting ahold of the property manager to get checked-in and get ahold of them was the biggest issue. The restaurant next door called the property owner for us. The neighbor got us in to drop of our luggage and we met the property owner a couple hours later. The neighborhood was noisy around 11pm. Otherwise this is a great location in the middle of faro, very walkable and our 24 hours in faro was great.

Nice owner, central location, a few issues
The woman who runs this is really nice and speaks excellent English. But, she is not there most of the time i.e. this is not a place with staff on site 24 hours. Also, be aware that cabs cannot drop you directly here - the alley is too narrow. They can get within a couple hundred feet though. Less than 10 minute walk to bus station, with a bus going to airport (right next to train station). Some of the other travelers who were there were a bit odd and left the kitchen messy. It's kind of an echo-y place since everything is tile. Very centrally located though - everything is walkable. Definitely some street drinking going on weekend nights in the alley it is on. The shower is tiny - and I am like 5'8" and saying that. It is also a VERY slippery shower floor - needs some simple pieces of grip tape. I would consider staying here again but would also look at other options.

Heerlijk!
Fijne plek midden in het centrum, met een heerlijk dakterras! Kamer was ruim genoeg en Silvia is een schat! Ik kon uren eerder inchecken en dankzij haar had ik dus meer tijd in het prachtige Faro te besteden zonder koffer. Nogmaals dankjewel Silvia, ik kom absoluut terug en ik kan deze accommodatie aan iedereen aanraden!

Friendly owner ,flexible with luggage drop off. Basic room clean with own bathroom/shower,fan,towels etc. Own key to come and go, local info available paperback library if needed. Visited FARO for kids football tournament over weekend, flights expensive so looked for budget accommodation. Location near FARO marina and 15-20 mins from airport ,plenty of cheap Uber cabs available 3 mins walking distance to Marina / restaurants etc. Only downside is the small backstreet location near to a noisy bar with some dodgy characters about. Was fine as 2 males wanting just a bed for the night. however at same time two couples (New Zealand and Sweden ) also staying . Would use again for short stay.

Very welcoming. The guest house is right in the city center and it’s easy to walk to bars and restaurants. I would stay again.

This Guest house was just what I needed: shared kitcheb, so coffee, fridge, and microwave: good-sized room with private bath: just right pillows, blankets, etc: close to museum, churches, restaurants, garbour, and bus: perfect for a walking tourist like me. Sylvia was great! She stayed late to welcome me in and gave me a map and clear directions to the store, etc..Outside, the building is old; inside, it has been beautifully decorated: very pretty. I would love to go back.

The owner Silvia was absolutely nice to me. She welcomed me with a big smile and she was always happy to help me with anything. Close to bars and harvest and so many nice place where to it, it was a wonderful stay and hope to come back soon. Anyone heading to Faro should consider this place as one of the best and reasonable price! thank Silvia!!!

Great hostel in a great location
A great hostel with a great host. A couple of issues though.....the barking dog on the terrace and the street noise throughout the night either kept us awake or woke us up. But everything else was great!

OK for one night....
Well located in the middle of Faro, and as advertised but... After the first night we were over the hard beds, difficult stairs, lack of aircon, cramped and unpleasant bathrooms. Access to the terrace was difficult and mainly for smoking, and breakfast truly was a joke. We appreciated Silvia staying late to meet us, but communication was difficult and surely it's not unusual to arrive after 6 p.m.? The tone was set by the instant demand for payment on arrival and the sign saying left luggage would be charged at 4 Euros per hour per piece. We really enjoyed Faro and will return, but not to this Hostel.

When you booked was without breafast. Soory, maybe you didnt understand. We have free coffee and tea for all guest, but this is not the breakfast. Is like a gift for our clients. And just for information, the luggage store is payed 4€ for all luggage is for hour. We dont have a 24hours open And when the guest make the check Out we have this rule. Thank you for give your comments was not all true but any way , is your opinion.

The noise from the street was unbearable
There were no bins in the rooms. The kitchen bin was never emptied. The family dog yapped all the time making for an unpleasant stay.

Dear guest, I m very sad with your comments, because you never speak with us about the dog. We live in the house and the dog live with us. The noise in the street is impossible to control the people in the street . Maybe you have to choose a house not in the center.Wish all best for you.

Stedet lå midt i sentrum. Et hus med sjel, et flott rom og en deilig takterrasse. Trivelig betjening. Litt festbråk utenfor på natters tid hørtes godt om vinduet sto oppe. Ved lukket vindu gikk det greit. Eget bad og toalett og et bra kjøkken

Perfect location for people who want a great night out. Its basically one minute walk to the nearest bar. The room is clean and have a good size. Double room has toilet and shower. Theres a shared kitchen but also coffee maker in the room. Most importantly the owner Silvia is a very friendly and approachable woman.

Le meilleur emplacement
Hébergement super bien situé. 5 étoiles pour ça! Plus besoin de voiture une fois sur place mais se rendre là en voiture est toute une aventure! Et se stationner là, c'est une expérience en soi. Spectacle de musique live chaque soir car il y a un bar juste à coté. Nous sommes des bons dormeurs et les fenêtres sont étanches au bruit donc nous avons aimé l'expérience. Par contre, si vous avez le sommeil léger, ce n'est pas le bon endroit! Terrasse sur le toit Propriétaire super accueillante

Parfaite Guest house à Faro
La guest housse est super bien placee dans Faro , il est facile de se garer dans les rues autour. La propreté est irréprochable. Sylvia est très accueillante, nous sommes arrivés en retard mais tout était prévu. La terrasse en toiture est parfaite pour le petit déjeuner. Je recommande.

Jag stannade i 3 nätter och trivdes utmärkt. Det ligger centralt nära busstationen och mitt i centrum. Det var rent och mysigt och i köket fanns allt man behövde. Mysig rooftop där jag åt min frukost. Utmärkt service av Silvia

Chambre proche du centre ville permet de se déplacer facilement à pied. Sylvia est très attentive à nos demandes et fai t en sorte d'y répondre positivement. Seul petit bémol les bruits nocturnes de la jeunesse portugaise dans les bars environnants.
