This property is clean, updated and in a great location. The property owner is so easy to deal with and is quick to respond to questions/inquiries. Extremely accommodating. This apartment has most things you need in the kitchen (should you choose to cook!). Fabulous apartment. Fabulous owner.

Great, relaxing stay
So glad I chose this location. It isn’t as crowded as other areas in low season. The beach is sufficient, if you have time to drive you can access a huge beach with softer sand by Sagres and visit the fortress. A nice board walk up the hill is lit at night in Carvoeiro , so you can walk off the late night dinner. We make breakfast in the well equipped kitchen to save time, but there’s breakfast options in town. There’s some great Indian and Nepalese restaurants which have excellent food and service is most courteous. The condo is spacious and the pool is not heated, but refreshing. There’s plenty of food stores down the road toward Lagoa to buy groceries of more variety. Consider taking the 7 Hanging Valleys Trail (Praia da Marina) instead of the Benagil Caves boat tours, unless you like being packed on a boat like sardines, breathing boat engine exhaust, and you’ll save time, frustration, and money - also you might not see the cave with the hole in the top because it’s tide dependent, and you need overhead sun for pictures. You will see plenty of caves and arches from the trail.

Simply the best!!
We all agreed that the property was one of the best we've ever been to, and we have been self catering together for many years. The maid service was a great bonus and the fact that the towels and sheets were changed during our stay added to our feeling of we'll being. There was a problem with the shower when we first got there, which was dealt with immediately and was fine after the repair. We were able to walk to many bars and restaurants and to the beach. The pool was just next to the patio area which was brilliant. Altogether, a great holiday, thank you.

Simply amazing spot!
Beautiful and awesome place: super clean, totally equipped, comfortable and so close to many amenities! Bars (live bands & karaoke) and restaurants are very close. The beach was only a 5 minutes walk. Super duper host Michelle was quickly available and so kind! Totally recommend it!

Fantastic to be back in Carvoeiro (and back at Michelle's property in Monte Dourado) - visit number 3 to the town and second to this property. Just as we remembered - everything we could wish for in a holiday property with easy access to the pool (which kept both our boys happy)! Lovely apartment right next to the pool. Everything you need. Very close to the centre of town although a little hilly on the way back but nice to take it easy. Nice restaurants close by and supermarkets 2 minutes away and everyone was nice and friendly.

Beautiful modern ,clean ,well maintained property in a beautiful complex. Great communication with Michelle with prompt replies. The appartment is as advertised with everything you could possibly need .Close to the town and the complex pools Staff all friendly and helpful . Carvoeiro is a beautiful place to visit .( just be prepared for hills ,but they are part of its beauty ) We would stay here again and recommend highly. Thank you Michelle and all the staff.

Great Location in Carvoeiro
This property had the perfect location and amenities for enjoying the Algarve. It was an easy walk down to the beach (slightly more challenging back uphill :) Easy to drive to and good parking right in front of the unit. Choice of several grocery stores within a ten-minute drive. So much to do in the area. A little market a two-minute walk away, and great bakeries and restaurants in town nearby. We had warm weather for mid-April and enjoyed the unheated pool just outside the unit (not too cold for Canadians). There was also a heated pool a few units away. The condo was spacious and very comfortable. Be aware that the kitchen, while well-equipped with dishes, pots, utensils etc, did not have any salt, pepper, spices, cooking oils etc. Also, plan to bring shampoo, dishwasher and laundry detergent (or you can purchase tabs at the reception for 0.50 euros.) The host emailed us well in advance with the check-in instructions and information on the resort and area, which was really appreciated! Wish we had stayed longer!

Wonderful apartment
What a fabulous apartment! Clean and tidy. Had all of the amenities you needed. The location was within a 5 min walk to downtown Carvoeiro where you can find many restaurants and shops. The owner responded in a timely fashion to any questions we had. She was excellent to deal with. Highly recommend this apartment. Great stay! Coming back for sure.

Wonderful 10 days, the apartment was larger than expected and very modern and clean. Would definitely recommend. Location was great but expect some hills but that applies to majority of the accommodation in the resort.

Fabulous apartment
Great experience from start to finish. Michelle the owner was really responsive and helpful with any questions. Great restaurant recommendations - particularly Jota Lita, which we loved. Apartment was spacious , very tasteful and so much better equipped than a package rental would be.

Home from home
Absolutely loved the apartment, the photos do not do it justice. All we could wish for and more. Very spacious, even got sky sports channel on the tv. Brilliant location, 5 minutes to shops, restaurants/bars and beach. Lovely pool which was quiet most of the time. Carvoeiro has many restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets. The only reason for giving 4 instead of 5 stars for cleanliness is because none of the corners had been cleaned for a while. Also we didn't get our bedding changed during our stay even though we stayed for 8 nights. Easy communication with owner. We would definitely use the apartment again on our next trip to Carvoeiro. We highly recommend.

A real gem of a place!
Absolutely loved this stunning apartment! It had everything you need and was decorated in a modern fashion with comfortable furniture. The lovely terrace overlooking the pool is a bonus! Rooms are large and with 2 bathrooms, made life easy! Set in a well kept gardened area and just a 5’ walk into the village, which has everything you need. The pool is not heated so takes a bit of getting used to! All in a peaceful setting. What’s not to like?

A wonderful stay
Apartment is so spacious and was spotlessly clean .Photos don’t do it justice, it spacious and so comfortable and well equipped. Everything worked perfectly. The location is perfect and so convenient for shops and restaurants but at same time being quiet. The complex felt very clean and safe. Parking outside the apartment was easy. We often had the pool to ourselves and there were plenty of sun loungers. Can 100% this apartment! Hope to return one day

Casa Lily - Monte Dourado
Fantastic holiday at the Monte Dourado resort in Carvoeiro. This was our second time staying at this great resort and Michelle’s apartment was lovely - modernised to a high standard & very tastefully decorated. It’s situation right by the pool was also great to allow easy access for the kids. Michelle was fantastic to deal with, helping to organise airport transfers for us and ensuring a welcome pack of essentials in the fridge. I would highly recommend considering this apartment if you are looking at Carvoeiro as your holiday destination. We’ll certainly be looking to book again!

Three weeks in this lovely apartment
This was our third visit to Monte Dourado and this was by far the best apartment so far in terms of cleanliness, facilities and updated bathrooms. Beware some of the bathrooms in other apartments haven’t been upgraded and are, well, a bit dated and disappointing if I’m honest. I’ve only given four stars for the area and location because of the steep hill up to the resort which a lot of people might find challenging, and also because if like ya you like your peace and quiet, this can all too easily be shattered by inconsiderate neighbors! Not that I expect people to pad about like church mice, but when they start getting drunk around the pool in the morning playing their music at full volume and shouting at each other despite being a couple of feet apart it can get a bit overwhelming. The flood thing is that if this does happen, you are free to use any of the other pools on the resort, one of which is bound to be a bit quieter! Also a slight niggle is that the WiFi is only for your apartment, so if you venture further than the terrace then you’re on Data which can be a little inconvenient and/or pricey! Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay and would certainly go back!

Beautiful apartment, kitchen better than I have at home, pool & sunbed's right outside the front door, easy check in. Very close to the beach & restaurants, but far enough away to be very peaceful, Michelle was very helpful with recommending car hire & any other questions we had, would recommend to anyone, only thing to note is that in April the temperature drops from 20 during the day to 14 at night so take warm clothing, all positive & hopefully will be back soon.

Excellent all round.
Carvoeiro is a lovely, small, coastal village/resort with easy access to the large beach. It has many good restaurants and caters for those who like having a drink and lunch al fresco. However, in January, and probably the other winter months, it is quite dead at night, especially in the bars. Michelle's house is furnished to a high standard, with all the facilities anyone could need. The beds are firm but comfortable and the 2 bathrooms are top class. There is a 40" TV and lots of DVD's, as well as a large selection of books. When we arrived (late at night) we were relieved to find the complimentary water, and there was some bread, fruit and other food items which were welcome. On the minus side, without being pedantic, we couldn't get the Sky News channel, and Channel 4 and the Sky Sports channels were erratic: noise interference, etc,. As they use a cable system we told Reception, who said they would fix it but nothing happened. The staff were polite and very friendly (as were the Portugese in general), but a bit amateurish: the bill was incorrect at the end of our stay. They apologised profusely and, after a fairly long wait, corrected it. All in all, I would definitely recommend both the apartment and resort.

Paul Thank you for your feedback, both complimentary and constructive. I am glad the 'welcome food pack' was useful as the last thing you want is to go shopping after a late arrival. The system which provides the TV channels is now quite old, and I think it is coming to the end of it's life, which is why the resort have decided to upgrade and the installation should be complete in March. I am sorry your bill was incorrect, and you had to wait for it to be sorted, but generally they are so accommodating and cannot do enough for you (as I find with all Portuguese). Beautiful apartment in great location
This is a very tastefully decorated apartment with everything you need for a great holiday. The complex itself is well looked after and the kids loved having the pool so close to us. Carvoeiro is a lovely location with great restaurants & easy access to other areas of Portugal. If we return we will most definetly stay there again. Thanks Michelle!

Great place. Apartment was spotless and very big. Home from home with the books and games. Great for kids with the swimming pool right outside. Great location. Just a short walk to town albeit down a steep hill. But good for a bit of exercise! We had a great time.

Very well appointed apartment on great complex
The apartment and location was lovely with very attentive complex staff who managed to allow access to the apartment early. The only downside to the week was the weather was was disappointing but did not detract too much from a relaxing holiday.

Wonderful Carvoeiro Stay at Monte Durado
My wife and I rented this 2 bedroom 2 bath condo for 4 weeks from mid Jan to mid Feb 2018. The owner provide us with lots of good essential information before we arrived and ensured we were able to have a late arrival with no difficulty. They even provided a small food pack so we wouldn't have to shop late at night! The main floor unit was cozy and comfortable with full kitchen, good appliances and plenty of cookware as we love to sample local products. The living room had a good working fireplace which helped immensely on the cool evenings. The bedrooms were spacious and beds comfortable with plenty extra blankets and storage. Bathrooms were cool but clean and neat. Maid service every other day helped a lot and beds were changed weekly. Pools were too cool for swimming but the sun was warm and patio/deck great for breakfast and lunch. The Reception folks were very helpful providing assistance for local attractions and the maintenance crew was very responsive when there were minor issues with something not working. overall...a great stay and hopefully we'll get back again.

Fantastically well maintained apartment in great location
We went for a short winter break to Carvoeiro and had a fantastic 6 days. The weather was great and so was the apartment. Decorated and set up to a high standard. We have stayed in many apartments over the years in different places and this was up with the best. As well as the décor being high quality the kitchen was fully equipped and no running out of plates or glasses. Sitting outside the apartment is pleasant with a nice little garden to overlook. There are comfortable chairs to sit on and read your book and also a table to enjoy breakfast and lunch at. The pool is very close to hand. It was great to lie by on well maintain sunbeds. Less than a five minute walk and in the evening you are in the centre of town, with a great range of bars and restaurant. Even out of season there is plenty of choice. I will be returning.

Eine entspannte Woche in Monte Dourado
Wir haben 10 Tage in der Wohnung in Carvoeiro verbracht. Die Wohnung liegt im Erdgeschoss und ist schön eingerichtet. Man hat alles, was man benötigt. Auch in der Küche ist alles vorhanden. Die Betten sind etwas hart, aber mit einer zusätzlichen Decke ging es ganz gut. Leider funktionierte das WiFi nicht. Die Rezeption in der Anlage Monte Dourado stellte kostenlos einen Router zur Verfügung, den man sich alle 2 Tage mal ausleihen konnte. Die Damen in der Rezeption können deutsch und englisch sprechen und waren sehr bemüht. Man ist in 7 Minuten zu Fuß am Meer, wir konnten jetzt Mitte Oktober sogar noch dort baden. Der Ort ist sehr schön, es gibt mindestens 2 Lebensmittelgeschäfte, viele Restaurants und einige Läden, die mehr zu bieten haben als das Übliche. Es hat uns dort sehr gefallen. Ebenso die Wege auf den Klippen, nach Osten hin sogar als ausgewiesene Wanderwege. Herzlichen Dank.

joli logement bien équipé et joliment décoré. Literie spacieuse et confortable juste détail bruit de la pompe piscine en face de la chambre qui tourne 24h/24h et la wifi qui ne fonctionnait pas quand nous y étions pour ceux qui veulent laisser la voiture, tout est à proximité commerces, restaurants et plage Michelle est très agréable également

Pierre, many thanks for your feedback, we are glad you enjoyed our apartment and the location.. There are a number of appliances which use electricity in the apartment, including the boiler which is used for heating the water, and electricity is expensive in Portugal. It is normal practice in the winter months for clients to pay their own electricity.
