This was like no other property I have ever visited. Clean, tidy, short uber ride to town, everything you could possibly need in the kitchen, fabulous staff, super clean pool. A great stay!

Wasn’t what was portrayed on the site. Very basic - economy suite. Very small pool - you had to drive to the beach. - walkable if you wanted to walk 3 miles. The lights from the hotel shined in our suite and the outside shutters were broken - I could not close them. I didn’t get much sleep in 4 days. Only a few chairs to sit on by the pool ??? We never could get a chair to lie on. They need to invest in more chairs. Also the balcony table and chairs were broken and weathered. Would not recommend sorry.

Dear Monica, First of wall we would like to thank you for choosing Placid Village to spend your holidays. Regarding your evaluation, we do not understand what you mean by economic suite. We have apartments with 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms all of them well equipped. kitchen all equipped with stove, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, iron, kettle, toaster, microwave, coffee machine, refrigerator with freezer, dishes, cutlery, glasses everything..... The way to the beach is a 15, 20 minute walk, something that is written on our website. The shutters from your room they were not broken or damaged, in fact when you checked out our receptionist explained to you how you should close the shutter. We would have appreciated it if you had kindly informed us of the situation, so that we could solve the problem. Not at check-out!!!! Sun beds are a problem that affects almost all hotels, it is difficult to have a sun beds for each guest. The balcony furniture we are aware of in some apartments has to be replaced. In fact, this assessment is already in process. But we do not place chairs or broken tables on the balconies, in regard to the wearing is something common due to the erosion of time. The apartment was very well kept, extremely spacious, and super comfortable. The surrounding area is quiet and peaceful, a short walk to a little city centre with many dining options, shops, and groceries, and a quick ride away from the beach. We had a great and relaxing time; would highly recommend.

It’s a nice property with a lot of space. Booked an apartment for 4 people, wasn’t happy that when I got to the room it was a handicapped room with a shower in the middle of the floor with only a curtain and the sink was very low due to it being a handicapped room. Went to the check in desk right away but they had closed at 6pm. Next morning went again they said they had no more rooms available which they should of listed it was a handicapped apartment but than I asked for atleast a free breakfast to makeup for it which they agreed on. It was a very nice big breakfast for the 2 nights for 4 people delivered to the room.

Totally fine apartment for a night
Quiet property. Cleaning products in the apartment smelled like strawberry jolly ranchers - which we didn’t like (it was too strong). Cleanliness was pretty good (some random stray hairs that weren’t ours), and the rooms were comfortable and all had AC.

A Great Find
This location is in a suburban neighborhood but away from everything and quiet. A short drive to anything you need but you would need a car. There is a nice pool. The room was clean and provided everything I needed. I would definitely stay there again.

The checkin was prompt and the gentlemen was very friendly and helpful especially after having just had an argument with a terrible taxi driver. The apartment was bright and spacious and very clean. I wish the pool was heated as the weather was lovely but too cold to swim in an unheated pool. The kitchen had most everything you would need except ice cube trays. The details said I had a washer and dryer unit but after calling I was told that particular unit did not actually have a washer so I had to air dry the clothes outside on the patio, no problem except some rain. The apartments are in a residential hilly area. It’s a nice 15-20 minute walk into town but definitely recommend a cab back especially at night for safety (no street lights/sidewalks) etc. I would definitely stay here again. Lovely staff.

Great three bedroom apartment about a mile from the town centre. Very peaceful and enjoyable stay. The only area for improvement - the balcony furniture is not good at all and really let’s down what is otherwise and really well equipped place to stay - really need to invest in more comfortable outside furniture.

Place was very clean, large 3 bedroom apartment with 2 bathroooms. The living area was open plan with the kitchen. Everything we needed was available. If you check-in out of hours, make sure to contact the place to ensure youre given the pin to the safe so you can collect your keys. If i hadnt called, i wouldnt have received any information and we would have been stuck The location of the village is really cool, quiet and requires a car for travel though.

The apartment I stayed in was incredibly spacious and very homely and clean. I had everything I needed to cook my own meals. The staff were wonderfully friendly - the lady who showed me around the apartment on check-in was lovely, as were the two guys who helped me with my luggage storage on the last day. The complex is small, peaceful, and a 10-minute walk from the nearest small supermarket/20 mins from the centre of Carvoeiro.

Amazing place to stay while in the Algarve
Check in was a bit of a wait due to an issue with the guest before us, but after this point on, our stay was perfect. The apartment is so clean and has every possible home comfort you could want while on vacation. There was also daily cleaning which was a nice surprise. Would definitely stay here again!

Had a lovely stay at the nicest self catering accommodation that we’ve ever stayed at. Staff were friendly and helpful. If we stayed again we would hire a car for getting to the supermarket and the beach etc.
