Superbly private
We felt very fortunate to be able to stay in this very private villa with a superb pool and outside space, overlooking fantastic views across the valley. A very comfortable traditonal farmhouse, with everything you need for a great holiday. There is a small, friendly cafe bar a short level walk away. Very central for all of the Algarve's hot spots. Angie was excellent at accommodating our change of plans and her communications were outstanding, quick to respond and always friendly. We loved meeting Pedro the gardener on his tractor and David who was super friendly. Thankyou for a lovely stay in Portugal

Fabulous villa in Portugal.
Lovingly converted farmhouse in very quiet area. Beautifully clean villa with all amenities, fantastic pool and outside area with gorgeous mature and well kept gardens. Would love to come back again. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful villa, we had a fantastic relaxing family holiday.

Beautiful stay
Absolutely magical place to stay full of charm and stunning views! The pool was so lovely and the house had everything we needed. The communication was great and we couldn’t recommend it enough! Thank you for a truly magical holiday!

A lovely rural idyll (with luxury heated swimming pool).
A fantastic (and spacious) house that feels remote, calm, and picturesque. The building itself has space where you need it (a great high-ceilinged lounge), a good annex-like room upstairs for teenagers to hide away in, and some great facilities. The kitchen is a little tight (this is a proper farmhouse conversion) but you get used it to and there are numerous build barbies for outside cooking. The pool was super warm, a good size, and quite deep. The neighborhood feels very rural, you're halfway up a mountain (well, very big hill), and there are some amazing views and lovely peaceful walks. Coms with the owner were great - some helpful notes, direction (it is quite hard to find in the dark), and everything was sorted very smoothly. We were there for nearly two weeks and will be recommending the house to friends who want the benefits of being near Faro, while not feeling they are part of the hustle and bustle of resort life.

An authentic Portuguese experience
We found this property very comfortable and convenient. It is located well away from the built-up areas of the Algarve but the coastal towns are within easy reach. The swimming pool is excellent. The rooms and the garden are very pleasant too.

Quinta las Pedras
Loved being up in hills, away from it all where we could relax by the pool, enjoy the views, bbq the wonderful fish we bought at Loule and Olhau markets and of course drink lots of great wine - all without being disturbed by anyone. We were lucky to have perfect weather too. It was a great holiday.

Superb holidays in a beautiful house
I can not praise our holidays enough. Everything from the first email contact with our lovely host Angie to the villa, pool, travel tips was absolutely perfect. Very easy and fast communication. All my 10000 questions were answered with much patience and knowledge:)! The house as such is beautiful and super clean. There was an added bonus of a maid service with fresh towels and sheets halfway through our stay, which we didn't expect! Much appreciated! And also our first breakfast essentials as we arrived late at night. So nice! The area is lovely, short drives to the most stunning beaches. Lovely towns and villages are also nearby. We had no idea how beautiful Portugal is and will be back!!!!!! :)

Absolutely beautiful Villa and surroundings
We stayed for 14 nights at this Villa and it was probably the nicest one that we have stayed in over the last few years of renting villas abroad. The owners communication was spot on and the facilities and surroundings were just perfect. We weren’t disturbed during our stay which was wonderful as we like to have peace and quiet when we are away . We paid extra for the pool to be heated which was glorious. (Well worth it ) , even though the weather was fantastic. I would like to thank the owner for recommending a great restaurant Lagar de Mesquita , which we went to twice while we were there . Will definitely be going back soon .

Take me back!
If you are looking for a holiday ‘away from it all’, surrounded by stunning natural beauty this is the place. The views are immense and the garden flowers are stunning. The kids spent all day in the pool which was great fun. The house is quirky, cool and comfortable. Action is not far away if you want beach life and ‘Slide and Splash’ water park was a good day out (for the kids anyway!!) Angie was always at hand and willing to help with any questions. Thank you Angie and John!

Peace and relaxation
This was a lovely private villa. Very spacious and comfortable. Perfectly placed for privacy peace and quiet. The pool was lovely and much enjoyed by my youngest daughter. Gorgeous views of the mountains and on the other side the sea. Well away from the busy tourist spots but with the car it was still easy to get around. Very relaxing just what we'd hoped for.

A HAVEN IN THE HILLS
This is truly a beautiful bit of luxury paradise , it was a surprise for my wife as she was already on holiday in Portugal , and we turned up the day before she was due to come home and gave her another 8 nights in this fabulously renovated farmhouse with panoramic views to die for ,she loved this place so much she wanted to live there , the owners Angie and John would do everything they could to make your holiday perfect ,Highly recommend this place ,, paradise on earth .

Fortnight in lovely sunshine July- August 2019
We have just returned from a very relaxing fortnight at this beautiful villa. As our plane arrived late in the evening, Angie had very kindly bought us some food to tide us over until we could get to the supermarket the next day, which was exceptionally thoughtful and very much appreciated. The villa is set in very peaceful surroundings away from the hustle and bustle but is very accessible from Faro airport. It is tastefully decorated throughout but our favourite part was most definitely the outdoor pool and surrounding patio, both of which have amazing vistas. We had wonderful, warm weather but it was not stiflingly hot. Fans were provided in each of the bedrooms but the lounge area was always cool. We would heartily recommend crossing the border and going to Seville one day if you are happy to drive a couple of hours. You will not be disappointed! Thank you, John and Angie for a lovely fortnight.

Beautiful villa in the hills, car necessary. Lots of space in the villa, good pool and area to sun bath. Some good local restaurants in the area. Overall a lovely villa and I would return.

Lovely property
We enjoyed a wonderful 10 days staying in the old farmhouse. The location is only 20 minutes from the airport, up in the hills with very little close by. The views from the rear of the property are fabulous. The booking process and communication with the owners Angie and John were really easy and smooth. During our stay we needed to contact them as we had a slight issue and it was dealt with straight away. The property itself has thick stone walls and stone floors so was nice and cool inside however hot it got outside. Being Portugal in June we didn't really take any warmer clothes so ended up lighting the log burner in the lounge in the evenings which was so cosy. The pool was a great size and we were pleased that we decided to pay the additional cost to have it heated as the children could literally stay in all afternoon if they wanted to. There was plenty of stuff in the kitchen and also lots of things not listed such as inflatables for the pool, buckets and spades, balls, kids toys, cool bag, freezer blocks etc all of which made life easier. We would recommend this property. It's not the modern type of property we've stayed in on previous holidays but was a rustic, charming old house that we thoroughly enjoyed staying in.

Stunning location in the Algarve countryside with superb views
Matching the stunning location this villa ticks all the boxes for the most relaxing yet still adventurous holiday as you explore the Algarve. The villa as everything you need is very spacious with every kind of amenity you require. We could not smile wide enough when ee arrived knowing that our expectations had been met and then some. If i have one negative the shower in the master bedroom needs updating but it did not detract from my stay in a most wonderful place Thank You Angie & John for making our 2017 holiday so special. Stunning property, clean and beautifully furnished, inside and out.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Travelled with a one and five year old and the property catered for them both. Lovely swimming pool - paddling pool is a bonus when you have young children! Quiet, peaceful area - a welcome escape from everyday life! We couldn't fault the property at all, or the level of service provided by the owners. Thank you for a fantastic holiday!

Fantastic location. Old quinta with very thick walls so house was lovely and cool inside.
Lovely house with garden and pool. Superb views of the countryside with the coast in the distance. Peace and tranquility but a café just down the hill.

Quinta das pedras azinheiro
Belle location dans un endroit tres calme, équipements de la maison un peu obsolètes,c est domage car cela altère le jugement d'ensemble. (cafetières, plaques de gaz hors usage changée au bout de 5 jours, frigo anciens , porte congélateur ne ferme pas), vaisselle dans placard , salle. Parasol abîmés et usagers, matelas des bains de soleils vetustes, et sales , tables et chaises de terrasses a rafraîchir. il faut un coup de neuf.

Thank you for your review. One ring of the gas hob was reported u/s. Replacement purchased but whole hob eventually had to be fitted. Re Door to freezer and damaged parasol - if my handyman had been told he would have fixed things. I am sorry about the mattresses- I do ask guests to bring towels to cover them- clearly this has not happened. Angie

Très belle Quinta portugaise idéalement située ni trop près ni trop loin des plages.
Une authentique Quinta portutaise rénovée et meublée avec goût et comportant une jolie piscine. N seul bémol : l'équipement (cuisine, lave linge) est parfois un peu obsolète.

Une adresse unique
Une adresse à garder ! C’est de loin notre plus belle location. Une vraie “ Quinta” à la portugaise, un charme fou. L’endroit est merveilleux, avec une vue imprenable sur les oliviers et les bougainvilliers de l’Algarve. L’endroit est idéal pour le repos, sans vis à vis et très calme. La maison est très bien agencée, spacieuse, avec tout le nécessaire pour passer de bonnes vacances. La literie est d’excellente qualité et la piscine est top pour faire des longueurs. Les propriétaires sont très réactifs et le personnel ( dame de ménage et jardinier) très chaleureux. Un vrai petit coin de Paradis.

Merveilleux Séjour
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour dans cette maison à la façade typique. Angie nous a donné de bons conseils et a répondu à toutes nos questions rapidement. Séjour familial typique !

Schönes Haus in ländlicher Lage
Das Haus hat uns sehr gefallen. Es ist größer als es auf den Fotos erscheint. Wir waren im November und hatten einen beheizten Pool was sehr zu empfehlen ist. Einige Sachen haben bei unserem Aufenthalt nicht funktioniert, dafür hat der Housekeeper David aber immer schnell eine Lösung gehabt. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

sejour de charme dans une ancienne jolie ferme a la campagne
La propriete à une vue imprenable sur les champs d'oliviers et les figuiers, tout en étant à proximité de la côte. Elle est en retrait de la côte tout en étant facilement accessible. Elle a le charme des bâtiments anciens, beaucoup d,espace à l'intérieur , comme à l'extérieur (plusieurs terrasses, beau jardin), jolie piscine bordée de transats.nous avons beaucoup aimé visiter les environs : la côte et ses falaises découpées, les îles avec les grandes plages presque désertes facilement accessibles par bateau, le charme du vieux Faro, etc ....sans oublier le soleil radieux en permanence !

Les photos ne rendent pas hommage à cette très jolie maison idéalement située et isolée à la fois
En premier lieu les espaces sont vastes et nombreux. Outre les trois salles de bains, et les grandes chambres, la maison permet de choisir sa terrasse en fonction du soleil et dispose de deux "salons" qui permettent à chacun de mener l'activité de son choix à l'abri du soleil. La piscine est grande et entretenue chaque semaine. Les chaises longues sont superbes ! Et il n'y a aucun vis à vis. Le ménage est fait et les lits sont prêts dès l'arrivée. Enfin elle est pourvu de tout le nécessaire pour cuire, refroidir et manger. L'emplacement est idéal si on souhaite se reposer de la foule. Pour autant, il faut moins de 30 minutes pour être au cœur du plus grand centre commercial de Faro, et les premiers commerces sont situées à environ 15 minutes. Il ne faut guère plus de temps pour être la plage (isla fuseta est un 20 minutes). Les précisions envoyés par Angie Davies sont tellement claires que le gps est inutile. Et last but not least, le bar du village (à 500 mètres de la maison) est ouvert jusqu'à 22h00, les propriétaires sont charmants et on peut même y grignoter. Quant à la caiprhrina servie, c'est tout simplement divin. Bref nous recommandons chaleureusement ce bien, pour deux couples ou une famille avec plusieurs enfants.

très bien, super site, au calme proche de tout quand même
La maison est typique, la piscine et le jardin sont appréciables sous cette latitude. Les gens sont attentionnés, les propriétaires très gentils et toujours de bons conseils. L'équipement de la maison est très corrects.
