A fantastic (and spacious) house that feels remote, calm, and picturesque. The building itself has space where you need it (a great high-ceilinged lounge), a good annex-like room upstairs for teenagers to hide away in, and some great facilities. The kitchen is a little tight (this is a proper farmhouse conversion) but you get used it to and there are numerous build barbies for outside cooking. The pool was super warm, a good size, and quite deep. The neighborhood feels very rural, you're halfway up a mountain (well, very big hill), and there are some amazing views and lovely peaceful walks.
Coms with the owner were great - some helpful notes, direction (it is quite hard to find in the dark), and everything was sorted very smoothly. We were there for nearly two weeks and will be recommending the house to friends who want the benefits of being near Faro, while not feeling they are part of the hustle and bustle of resort life.
