Fantastic hotel in the centre of Alicante. Spacious, well equipped rooms. Downside - very noisy from other occupants and outdoors. If you choose this hotel request a high up room. We were on the 1st floor and got very little sleep!

We stayed for four nights, it was a lovely old building. We stayed in a superior room, which was big, had a fridge with a few complimentary soft drinks and the bed was comfortable. The room was made up everyday. All the staff were friendly and breakfast was nice too.

Hotel staff were wonderful and very helpful. Rooms were a good size with nice ensuite. Location was fantastic, an easy walk to the old town restaurants or the new town. We will definitely book again.

Excellent area and fantastic building, however, the service and communication were average. The worst part was the breakfast time, the staff were rude and aggressive. Not recommend to include breakfast. More verities with reasonable price could be found nearby.

The Hotel was beautiful had such a relaxed atmosphere and the decor was amazing very old brickwork and a beautiful staircase.

Character building
A beautiful character building in the centre of Alicante, the hotel is good, if a little tired around the edges. A stunning terrace with magnificent views appears underused, which is a shame, and the bedrooms themselves are very grand, although there were problems with the air conditioning noise during our stay. Overall, decent value for money.

Great location! Welcoming staff and very clean. In this time when every feature costs more, I loved the complimentary drinks in the fridge, Wi-Fi, L’Occitane toiletries. Would definitely recommend.

We have just returned from a 6 night stay with friends. We all agreed that it was a fabulous building, a really beautiful hotel in a great location. Lovely, friendly reception staff. Lovely bedroom although the bathroom was very dated. Shower didn’t drain away. The pillows were sponge and very uncomfortable. No kettle /tea/coffee in the room but reception provided one immediately when we asked. We had the set breakfast in the hotel cafe every day, food was great although for a 6 night stay we felt it was very repetitive. After 3 days we asked if we could choose items off the menu. We would actually be eating a lot less by doing so. Cafe reluctantly allowed us to do this. The lady who served in the cafe was very abrupt and rude, she never smiled. All the other staff in the cafe were lovely. Staff at reception happy to give local advice, look after our luggage and phone taxis for us on our last day.

Amazingly beautiful hotel within a stunning historic building in a very central yet calm location. Rooms are large with very high ceilings and beautiful decor. Excellent service by the attentive staff all around. A simply wonderful experience!

We had a lovely stay. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The building is amazing and has lots of character. We booked a double superior room. The bed was really comfy’ Unfortunately we were not able to have a balcony but we had 2 full window/doors which opened on to the street below, We will definitely visit again. Thank you

This hotel is next level brilliant
I just wanted to say what a wonderful hotel experience this was from start to finish. I just had a two day break in Alicante with my girlfriend and from the moment we punched open the heavy glass doors, we were treated so well by the staff there. We were offered a cold drink immediately, shown to our beautiful room and informed about the hotel. This hotel is right in the heart of the city beside the main Cathedral, near all the bars and restaurants and five minutes walk to the sea. The bed was exquisite. Really comfy and a great nights sleep, with a balcony to watch the people go by. We had wine on ice delivered to the room and even onto the beautiful roof terrace overlooking the skyline and castle above. The staff were attentive and accommodating and made us feel really treated. I can’t praise them enough and we spent the time there and on our way home chatting on how we had landed on our feet chowing that hotel. We are already planning on a return trip. Thankyou to the staff there for such a memorable trip. They even loaded our bags into the taxi which we really are not used to ! Absolutely loved it and I am recommending this hotel to others with a an eye for a cheeky great deal and to be treated well when you’re not always used to It 😉

Great stay at Palacete
Friendly welcome . Very attractive reception area period feel , central rope chandelier. As we arrived around 8.45pm, we wanted to eat , so Reception staff recommended Boco restaurant just up the street on our first night , which was great and relaxed , and good food. ( we went back several times ) . Clean and tidy room , free refreshed minibar with soft drinks and bottled water daily. Slight issue of very slow draining on shower cubical caused water to seep on to bathroom floor sometimes, so we had to use towels to soak up. Roof top was nice to use sometimes in evening for drinks, tho probably could do with a little TLC . We paid for separate breakfast , as we had an early start on some days, tho it was very good on the days we used it . Very nice rustic looking cafe, lots of choice , superbly made yoghurt granola ( pre-paid set breakfast menu a bit limited). Recommended PAYG for breakfasts . Overall really enjoyed our stay there, staff very accomadating . Would recommend.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, Janine in particular helped us immensely. The building itself is beautiful and settled right in the old town, walking distance from the beach, restaurants, cultural sights, and anything you could wish to see. You will be able to find cheaper and better breakfasts elsewhere, however this is the only (very) minor complaint we could think of. An excellent find and highly recommended.
